when to take off bandages

Had the surgery on Friday and I beleive the Dr. said to take off the bandages 5 days later. I was so out of it when he told me and I can't read his writing either. There are two types of bandages, little white one and some big see thru brown ones. He used some kind of crazy glue on me and they still itch really bad. How the heck do you get them off? and When?

I just let them fall off on their own...I was told not to try to take them off because if they were not healed then I could rip them open i just showered every day and let the Water work on them...
