Hi there,
I am 2.5 years post op...and all of a sudden about 2 weeks ago this intense pain started waking me up during the night. I started taking my prilosec again...as instructed...but it's not helping at all. Now...for the past 3 or 4 nights...this pain is waking me up like every two hours, and I'm exhausted. I have tried Pepto Bismol, Tums, Tylenol... I tried eating something...but am not crazy about eating at 2 or 3:00am.
It seems that drinking milk helps with the pain...a pain like I've never felt before. It's almost like the top of my stomach is going into spasms or something...and the pain just radiates thru my chest.
Before I had my surgery, I was informed that I had a hiatal hernia...but it wasn't severe.
I know I should go to the surgeon to see about it...but I'm really afraid. I'm not all that crazy about the guy who did the surgery...and that feeling has caused me to stay away from that office for probably the last 9 months or so.
has anybody else out there experienced this kind of pain...and if so...what did it end up being?
Thanks for your time everybody!!
Carla
