  1. My stomache is pretty hairy and they did not shave it at all.
  2. Make sure that you take in earlier in the day and that you drink enough Water to get it past the band. It is probably sitting in your pouch. I am on Zoloft also and had this happen 2 times before I figured it out. Good Luck Chuck
  3. Are you by chance taking any pills before bed?
  4. Bend over in front of the toilet and burp and let what ever comes up come out. It seems to work for me. Good luck.
  5. Very Unlikely, but possible silicon poisoning. Your body might be absorbing the Band. Do a search on google. It would be the same from breast implants because I do believe they are made of the same material. Chuck
  6. My Guess is that everything is irritated and a little swollen in your abdomen and caused you band to be a little tight for a while. Once the swelling went down it probably went away. Chuck
  7. This is essentially the realize band and it is filled with normal saline.
  8. Are you on Blood Pressure meds or a water pill?
  9. I am over a month post op and still have not given in. I am not going to start again. If I where it would be atleast 4-6 weeks after everything is healed. Nicotine inhibits your healing ability.
  10. Are you taking any meds or vitamins? right before bed?
  11. I was banded on the 9th and am actually feeling pretty good. No gas pains, just alot of rumbling. I got the Realize Band. It is hard getting used to the liquid diet as I did not have a pre-op diet. Chuck
  12. This can be a side effect of the anesthesia. Not sure how long it can last, but I would definitely say that is the cause. Good Luck. Chuck
  13. Well something is going wrong with your ticker. I don't think that it would prevent you from getting the band. It may delay it until you get your heart taken care of, whatever that may be. Your heart could be skipping a beat, have an extra beat, not squeezing enough blood or many things. I wish you the best. Keep us updated. Chuck
  14. Medicare does cover the surgery. Thats what I have. I think you have to have a bmi of 40 or 35 with co-morbidities. Good Luck. CHuck
  15. Wow there are alot of June Bandsters, I am scheduled June 9th with Dr. Urbandt in Pittsburgh at West Penn. I cannot wait. I actually quit smoking too, which is awesome. Chuck
  16. He told my He does Fills on Monday mornings at the hospital.
  17. He told me all fills are done under floro, Which I think is the best way to get them. Less worry about being too tight and poking the tubing.
  18. I wish everyone the best of the and maximum weight loss success. Chuck
  19. Got my Date today. I am scheduled for June 9th. Can't wait. Chuck
  20. I had a cyst removed from the left side of my upper back. When the stitches where removed after a week, the incision opened up and I had a huge hole there. I went to my GP and he packed it with packing every 3 or 4 days and said it had to heal from the inside out. The packing is loaded with antibiotics so you don't get an infection. I would have your surgeon take a look at it. I would not want to be put under again and then even another time to have the port replaced. Good luck. Chuck
  21. I know all doctors make mistakes, but this is a little over the top. I dont see Dr. Urbandt ignoring test results and putting his reputation on the line. That facility is ranked #1 in the state for bariatric surgery. I am not calling you a liar, so please dont think that. I know there are risks associated with the band as with everything else. If the tests showed no pouch why did he not act? I know I would have seen another Dr. before 9 months of throwing up. I wish all of you the best and does anyone have any positive updates?
  22. I have my 3rd app on the 25th. Surgery should be end of may or june sometime. Looking very forward to it. Both Dr. Urbandt and Julie are very nice. Are both of you getting the realize band?
  23. I believe Medicaid will Cover you until your 21. DOuble check, but I am pretty sure.
  24. I am looking for some Dr. Urbandt Patients or West Penn Bariatric Patients. I am looking for all insight, good or bad. I have a consult on 12-15-09. Chuck
  25. Wal Mart has big containers of Protein Powder, Not sure of the brand off hand. I use it when I work out. It's fairly cheap $12 or $13. It tastes pretty good too. It's whey Protein.
