Pre-op EKG question

Before my consult, my surgeon requested an EKG...I had it last week and my primary doc called today and told me I needed to see a cardiologist ASAP and that to be prepared that I may not get to have my Lap Band surgery. I'm prematurely terrified...what kind of EKG abnormality would stand in the way of this surgery?

Well something is going wrong with your ticker. I don't think that it would prevent you from getting the band. It may delay it until you get your heart taken care of, whatever that may be. Your heart could be skipping a beat, have an extra beat, not squeezing enough blood or many things. I wish you the best. Keep us updated.
