Newbie

I'm just starting my research into the lap-band procedure. I am hoping I can learn from your experiences. I am looking for docs in Oregon and have found one group in Medford/Grants Pass area. I have also contacted a Dr. Kuri in Tiajuana, Mexico. Have any of you used him? I must also find out if Medicare will pay for the surgery. As you can see, I have lots to do before the actual surgery. Any help you can suggest would be appreciated.

Medicare does cover the surgery. Thats what I have. I think you have to have a bmi of 40 or 35 with co-morbidities.

Good Luck.
