First Fill under my belt FINALLY...

Recommended Posts

This coming monday I will be 8 weeks post op, and I just today got my first fill... I was TERRIFIED of having it done, I thought it was going to hurt like none other.... But it actually just felt as if some one had pinched me in the tummy....

They put 5 cc's into my 11 cc band.... and I am scheduled to go back in 2 weeks for another fill....Im not afraid anymore...

I cant wait to see the numbers on the scale moving again... YAYYYY:lol:

Awesome. Fills aren't really that big of a deal. Just be careful the first few days after. Some foods might not be as cooperative. I've had 2 fills so far. I'm up to 7.4 in a 14cc band.

I just had my first fill on Wednesday at 5 weeks post op. I was also nervous at first but it went smoothly. I don't go back until 4 more weeks. I had 1 cc in during surgery and only had 1/2 cc on Wednesday for a total of 1.5 cc in my 10 cc band! I am so hungry still! I am more hungry than I was prior to having the fill. Is this normal?

I go in on Sept 10th for my first fill and I can't wait! I HOPE my doctor will put in at least 3 or 4 because Im soooo hungry all the time. 1 or 2 cc's probably won't do anything for me.

Hi Amber,

My 1st fill is the 1st and he told me they typically put in 3cc's, I have no idea how big my band is, do you? I am starting to get really hungry as well, but really make the right food choices and my running has really made me feel good. How are you doing?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
