anybody in the Middle GA area?

Hey! I am new to this forum and have been just cruising around and reading.

I am about to begin the journey towards LAP-BAND...I am going to the education seminar for Dr. Steinberg next week. I am very excited as I have prayed about this for a couple of years, but our previous insurance would not cover it. Our new insurance pays for it, so I am going for it. :biggrin:

I was wondering if there is still anybody out there in my area?

    I am! I live in Perry, but work in Warner Robins. I started my journey in June and have a September 23rd date. I am being banded by Dr. Bagnato in Albany. It's a great group and I am really impressed! Keep in touch!

    Hi Middle Georgia Group, I was banded on Dec 13 2010 by Dr. C. Smith in Albany. This is my first week - and so far so good. I also had hiatal hernia repair. I must say that if I don't sip throughout the day that I feel hunger. Broth - yuck - but I am looking forward to week 2.

    I just had my Gastric Bypass -RN-Y- on Sept 8th with Dr Danny Vaughn at the Bariatric and Metabolic Institute of GA (Macon GA).
