Just scheduled my surgery for September 22!!!!!!!!

I am so excited! I was getting so worried because I had no clue where I was going to come up with $2,500 (the remainder of my deductible) and last night my grandma offered to lend me the money!!!! I am so thrilled right now! <3

Good for you. If you have any questions, I was just banded on Aug 11, 2010....I'll be happy to share my experience.

Congratulations! how are you feeling? How long were you out of work for?

I'm scheduled for Sept 22nd too! I have yet to see my surgeon for pre-op testing, but I will do that on the 2nd. I'm so close and I'm really wanting to get on with it. I can hardly wait.

That was so sweet of you g'ma to help you with this. God bless her!

BabyK....I am out of work for 1 full week. I know some people go back sooner but truthfully I am very glad to have the whole week. It is a wonderful thing and I don't want to scare you or bring any kind of discouragement because everyone is different......in saying that....it takes a while to get use to being banded. You no longer eat or drink like you once did. And food has been a lot of our friends for a long time. Yes, I am glad I made the choice of better health and if I had it to do again...yes, I would. The few things I would tell you are....start drinking and eating smaller quantities of food now. Start if you are not already doing...walking 1/2 hour each day. Start getting use to not drinking with your meals....after the band you can't drink and eat at the same time....It helps if you start getting use to that now. You will be glad of the decision and happy to go forward!!!:smile2:
