  1. I'm so frustrated lately. I feel like my stomach is so gross. I feel like even though I've lost 30 lbs (which is way less than a lot of people on here) it still is so ugly. It's really frustrating because at the age of 22 I should not be worrying about this stuff. I'm totally down for all of the effort and hard work it takes to eat healthy and exercise, but not seeing results is very frustrating. grr just needed to vent; has anyone else felt this way!? What did you do!?

I looked up some of the exercises on Youtube, thanks! haha I would like to do it without surgery (haha-don't we all) but hey if I get to goal and it's still an issue then I may have no choice!

I hate my arms. I feel like no matter how much weight I lose the stretch marks and sagging that I have on the inside of my arms, will never go away. I know there's so answer for stretch marks, but is there anyone who felt that same way but now feels different? If so, what exercises did you do? Do you think water intake really does make a difference? Thanks!
  4. Thank you for your responses. I am going to schedule a fill and am hoping I will see some changes.
  5. I am wondering how many fills everyone had before the band started working. I have been banded for a year and a half and to be honest I haven't really been using my band because I had complications after the surgery that really scared me. After my surgery my band had some liquid in it from the doctor testing it to make sure there weren't any leaks. I have had one fill since and I don't feel restriction (which I didn't expect for a few more fills) but I do have some problems with getting stuck and swallowing. I really want to get back on track with my band but I'm terrified of getting stuck. It hurts so bad and is quite embarrassing. So, how many fills did it take you to get restriction and how often/much do you exercise? Thank you in advance!
  6. I mostly get stuck with the same minds of foods-when I have bread and meat together. I can't afford to go to the doctors right now because y insurance changed their policies so now I only get two visits a year covered by insurance. Otherwise it's $100 a visit. Also, I just don't feel like my band is doing anything for me. :/

I'm considering cancelling my gym membership and buying the P90X Program. Does anyone have any advice? Does it work!?
  8. SO I'm about 9 months out and have only lost about 25 pounds. I feel like the weight I have lost is 100% my doing. I haven't felt my band work at all. I've had 3 fills but I am scared to get another one because I get stuck often. However, not enough to need an unfill. I am just finding all of this money and time I spent preparing is a waste and it is very dissapointing. I'm not sure what to do.
  9. Not able to give an accurate update until tomorrow morning since I've been housesitting and my grandmas scale is different. But I have been eating healthy and working out
  10. Forgot to say that I'm down 3.6 pounds
  11. Good morning and happy Friday everyone! Down to 229.8!!!! Wooohooo
  12. I really appreciate everyone's responses! I am sorry it has taken me a little bit to get back to responding but I've been super busy! I have taken what all of you have said and taken in to consideration. I have been having a better few weeks, my weight loss could be helping. I feel like I am trying to look at things in a more positive way and realizing that I can not stress over things that I have no control over...
  13. Up 1.4 lbs to 233.4 not upset though because ive been eating super healthy, and working out with a trainer so I am hoping it's muscle.... good job to everyone who's down and keep going to those who are up! We can do this!
  14. It's probably a silly question but I've heard so many different things-so what are slider foods?
  15. Just need to vent: the short version: my dad passed away a year and a half ago and my boyfriend has been by my side through everything! He's amazing and I love him so much. Over the past 2 years I have moved into a different house every 4 months. My boyfriend and I recently got our own place (4 months ago) and it's great! I love it...but, as silly as it sounds, the past 2 weeks I've just been super scared that something is going to happen and it makes me think about what life would be like without my boyfriend. It scares the crap out of me. Him and I have talked about this and he is so sweet, tells me he loves me, is here for me, and isn't going anywhere. I believe him and I trust him. So why the hell am I so caught up on what life would be like without him!? None of this probably makes sense but any advice would be appreciated....
  16. Awesome! I've been very curious about the Cycle classes, I have heard great things! Any tips? I also just signed up with the personal trainer tonight, just once a week for now
  17. Nice to meet everyone! I just turned 21 last month and am a junior in college! I'm majoring in Sociology and am going to do a program once I graduate to be state certified to be a Drug and Alcohol Addiction Counselor. My father was killed in an alcohol related accident about a year and a half ago and it has changed my mind about wanting to major in Business. I recently got a place with My amazing boyfriend and my younger brother. I am pretty much a mom to my little bro (he's not so little-19 years old) I love hanging out with my family and going to the lake/river or goin out to the desert to watch my boys (bro and boyfriend) race dirtbikes! We live by the beach and I am happy to say that next summer i might've actually lost enough weight to wear a bathing suit down there!
  18. Seriously how old are you!? Does it make you feel better to be a bitch when answering my question? I'm perfectly fine with an answer even if it's not one I want, but the sarcasm really isn't necessary.
  19. I have been doing the elliptical in the gym at my apartment but tonight my boyfriend and I signed up at a gym. I hope we stick to it this time...I joined mostly for the classes. What classes do you all take and what do you like/dislike about them!?
  20. I think this is completely normal....I am a bit of a drama queen but the day of my surgery (after i was already hooked up to an IV) I wanted to run away! I went into a total panic and just wanted to go home! my very supportive family reminded me of all the time i have spent doing my research and all of the reasons i wanted to do this!!!! 5 min later I was being wheeled into the OR, put myself on the table, and the next thing i knew i woke up in recovery! Don't psych yourself out-it's normal!!!!
  21. Breakfast: Vanilla Activia Yogurt with Sliced Strawberries Lunch: Kung Pao Chicken and brown rice Dinner: Sushi yummmmy drinks: not enough water, ice tea, and coffee
  22. I totally know what you mean and it does suck...i also feel like it's harder when i come on here and see all of the people that have lost SO much weight to fast-granted they have worked harder so they deserve but why the heck couldnt that have been me!?
  23. I am really sorry to hear that you are having to deal with this. I was banded in September and have only lost 15 pounds... Although I didn't do 100% on my part I felt like my band isn't doing it's job, so I can somewhat relate to what you are feeling. I really hope you find some answers. I would suggest getting ahold of your doctor asap and discussing some serious options. Be aggressive...I feel that I always go in with questions or concerns but never get proper answers because I am not aggressive enough...keep us updated and remember you have LOST 70 pounds...you can do this
