I am 4 days post off and want to lay in my bed so bad!! When were you able to lay in bed And on your side?

Im 20 and from Los Angeles, CA. I am a full time student and I work part time for a Website Managing Company :thumbup:

I feel like I drink fluids allllll day long but my lower- mid back hurts. I am thinking it might be my kidney. Has anyone has this feeling? Also i feel like the gas is trying to decide where to go so it ends up hurting me and just sitting right below my throat for a few seconds before it will subside. Please tell me I'm not the only who is feelin this way. Anyways to help would be more then appreciated :thumbup:

We seem to have similar ups and Downs. I was banded Monday the 27 th Ups: I've lost 10 lbs in 7 days my family has been telling me they can see a difference I'm starting tofeel a LITTLE bit better downs: the disgusting taste in my mouth the horrible gas pains feeling weak throwing up from the pain meds (ouch!) having to deal with the pain without pain meds because it makes me throw up my back/ neck aches needing help to do certain things like turning the shower on and brushing my hair I want to chug like 10000 bottles of Water because I am so thirsty; obviously I can't

How long did it take to actually lay down and be-comfortable in bed??

So I was banded on Monday and was taken back by how much this surgery hurts. Ofcourse I didn't picture it as a walk in the park but wow it is so much more painful then I expected. I took some of the pain meds yesterday and ended up throwing them up. I called my doctor and they said not to worry about it. Anyways I would like to know how to get rid of this disgusting taste in my mouth. I've tried spitting, brushing my teeth, and drinking some water and it will not go away. Also how long did it take to feel somewhat normal again after being banded?

So I am being banded TODAY! wow! I am so excited and happy but boy do Ihave the worst headache I have ever had in my life! It is awful. I suffer from migraines anyway, but not being able to take Excedrin or my birthcontrol pills has made it SO much worse. Any advice as to what I should expect in any regards to the surgery? Did you have headaches? If so, how long did they last?

I just wanted to stop by and say congratulations to all of my fellow September Bandsters! How are those of you doing that have already had it done? I am having my surgery tomorrow! I am so excited and nervous!!!! :smile:

are there any support groups in the LA area that any one knows of? The Marina and Beach cities are ideal but I am willing to travel to other parts of LA if needed.

So my surgery date is approaching very quickly! It is weird to think that 1 week from now I will be in surgery! My surgery is next Monday, September 27th! I am so nervous, scared, excited, anxious,and every other emotion that there is. On Wednesday I go in for "Pre-Op Day" I was told that I will be there all day....What is going to happen? What do they do during this time? Thanks :]

how terribly sad. my thoughts are with her her family through this awfully hard time. just remember the good times and cherish the memories.

ugh is it September 27th yet!? I am so ready for this! I am so sick and tired of being uncomfortable on the inside and out. I don't even go out anymore, in fear that I will run in to someone I know. I am only 20 years old and these years are supposed to be the "best years of my life." Well I sure hope not haha. I am really hoping this all works out and that I actually lose the weight. I have no problem with sticking to a diet and exercising if I am actually going to see results. How is everyone else doing? Congrats to those who have already been banded this month and good luck to those who will be banded in the near future :]

I am going to be banded on September 27th! I can not believe it! I am looking to either join a group that is already in existence or maybe start a new group in the South Bay Area. (Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Marina Del Rey, Santa Monica, etc) If you are a part of a group or are interested in a group please let me know. I am looking to start ASAP. I have been told by so many fellow banders that support groups are a key to success.

Congrats everyone! I got my approval within 2 days of it being submitted to my insurance company. I could have had an appointment 2 weeks later but I am waiting until the end of September because of work. Good luck to everyone!

I am so excited! I was getting so worried because I had no clue where I was going to come up with $2,500 (the remainder of my deductible) and last night my grandma offered to lend me the money!!!! I am so thrilled right now! <3
