After going thru a different place back in July of this year, i wasnt feeling comfortable with them, they had dropped the ball many times and by september they still hadnt set up a surgery date. So a friend referred me to Dr Martinez at surgilite, i first met with him on October 1st, & sat thru the orientation, mettings and met with his staff. After getting a physch evaluation and nutritionist calling me, i was approved and had lab work done. November 3rd, yesterday, i had my surgery. The pain comming out of surgery was overwhleming, but i was quickly given pain meds, the only discomfort im feeling now is from the gas pressure. I decided to go with the lapband surgery because it was my last option. I had tried a million diets and nothing worked, i even resorted to some dangerous methods. After having my daughter in 2007 ive been at the heaviest ive ever been. so i knew i needed to take a drastic measure when it came to doing it healthy. I have already lost 15 lbs since my first intial visit, so my goal is to lose 15 lbs every month until i get to my goal weight. I highly reccomend doing a week of the liquid diet prior to your surgery, it'll help alot when you have to do it post surgery!
