stretch marks-do they get better as you lose weight?

i have awful stretch marks and i was wondering if they will become any "better looking" as i lose weight....

I've lost weight before with diet and exercise and my stretch marks stayed the same. Vitamin E and Maderma help, but I don't think they'll get much better unless you see a dermatologist or an aesthetician.

I am 6lbs from goal and my stretch marks are the same. I don't seem to mind though, cuz I am having fun buying new clothes!!!
