How much weight did you lose up to your 1st bandiversary?

Interested to know how much weight people lost in their first year of being banded. Would be great if people banded for more than a year would respond to the poll.

Whoops - there's a small error in the poll - the third option should say 30-40lb!

well 2day is my 1 year anniversry! lol and I've lost 50 pounds...My journey has been slow but I try my best to keep it steady...I look like I lost way more then 50lbs so it doesnt really seem that bad...Im hoping to lose the other 50+ pounds in about 5/6 months

I lost 48.4lb which brought me to goal.

July 13th was one year for me. Lost 68 lbs but still want to lose 35 lbs more. A friend of mine banded two days after me she lost 103 lbs in her year. Congratulation to you all. Special Congatulations to Elcee for making it to goal!!

I'm thrilled that I hit the 100# mark one week past my bandiversary.

I lost 40lbs in one year.

65 lbs. It was one of the most sterssful years of my life (nothing related to my band... my older son is in US Army)... and being an emotional eater whithout my band I would've gained another 30 Soooo... can I say that I lost 95..lol ????

Just kidding... 65lbs, 4.5 dress sizes and counting...

I have not hit my anniversary yet,, I will October 13. As of now i have lost 78 and desperately want to hit 100 but 10/13 I am wondering if it can be done.

90lbs gone for me, wanted 100, love 90 all the same

congrats losers

My bandiversary will be the 29th and I have lost 70 lbs so far. I was hoping to lose at least 100 lbs by the 29th, but thank God I was able to lose the 70 lbs. I just need to stay focus.

Congratulations to all of you so far! I am on track to lose 70 lbs by my 1 year anniversary. I will be very happy with that. It has been a slow but steady process. I've very happy with my decision to be banded :scared2:

My one year anniversary will be 9/30/10. I have lost 70 lbs so far and hope to loose 87 by then. That would put me in ONDERLAND at 1 year out. I would be thrilled with that. Frankly I am thrilled about where I am now! Best decision I have ever made!

I lost 90 pounds by my 1 year bandiversary and was pregnant by then too! However, the 90 pounds put me under what my doctor wanted me at and I am now having to work on gaining a little.

  • 2 weeks later...

Only lost 38lbs by my 1 yr. anniversary. Lost more but gained it back, lost my mom, suffered health issues, lacked motivation, etc....but no excuses, NOT GIVING UP! I determined to hit the 100 mark by my next surgiversary in April 2010.

Slow and steady wins the race. For me its more like a marathon, just gotta make it to the finish line. :)

My first bandiversary is going to be 09/19. I have three pounds to go to get to goal, and I plan on making it. If I do, it will be 66lbs. the weight loss is much slower when you get down to just a few pounds so I plan to walk a lot farther, and do some evening walks too. It helps keep me away from the food and it is good for me.... Hugs.....
