Hey Guys! I am new to this site but so far find it VERY encouraging! I started my journey back on October 16, 2009 when I got my 1st referral from my Dr.

As of now I have completed EVERYTHING medically necessary for surgery and also got my insurance approval.....just waiting on my surgery date now. I am so ready for this and most importantly ready to start FINALLY living my life rather then just existing. I am SO nervous though and honestly I'm really scared too. I still have all those negative thoughts racing through my mind.....

Well I just wanted to say hello and if anyone has any advice or anything I APPRECIATE it greatly! I haven't shared this journey with many people so the support would be awesome!

Welcome and congrats on the approval. That is the most nerve-racking part for most.

There is really way too much info to give you but if you check out the posts on this site you will have everything you need and then some.

The one bit of advice I can give is to listen to your surgeon and if you don't understand something he says, don't be shy about asking him to clarify it for you.
