I am 3 days post op - last night my 70lb lab unexpectantly jumped up on me and landed on my abdomen - please tell me this did not cause band slippage or other problem - naturally it being a holiday weekend dr's office is closed:unsure:

Unless you are in serious pain I would highly doubt that the dog jumping on you hurt anything -your stomach and the band itself are protected by your ribcage

I have a 3 year old son who was all over me. My dr said that short of eating gobs of food and then throwing them up right after surgery, you really cant "hurt" the band. Your incisions may hurt, and trauma directly to them may cause them to swell or even be infected, so go easy. However, your band really cant be hurt by anything on the exterior of your body!
