I am looking for a mentor/buddy due to not having any support. I am preoperative and with great opposition from my wife, I have decided to do this without her approval. I am feeling selfish and confused but I know I am willing to use this tool (LAP-BAND®) to help me with my addiction to food. I am in the Highland, CA area and would appreciate any suggestions

Hi Ron: I am 6 years out and would be happy to offer whatever support I can. I was fortunate in having a very supportive husband, but it could be that your wife is frightened. You may find some supportive information for both her and yourself at my blog- there are things she can read (real person accounts) and lots of information for both of you.
