Shrinking violets- part 6!!!

Recommended Posts

I think I remember...think! The class project I am raising $ for is for a $180 bulletin board. Welcome to public education! I didn't put it on FB cause I didn't want people making a judgement call on what is important in my class. I want a bulletin board and have already gathered 100 buckeroos for it!

Good afternoon, Violets..

I luv you too, Michelle, but I'll pass on the fun table, if ya don't mind!:huh2:

Geeze PamELa.. I was hoping for something more exotic than a bulletin board!!! Like maybe a huge kindle or seat belts for the trouble makers. Oh well...still money well spent. :huh2:

The Bobster got all of the backyard cleaned up today.. furniture put away, gazebo uncovered, artsy fartsy stuff from the gardens stashed for the winter. Only thing left is the humungous pile of leaves in the front and back yards. It's been way too wet to burn and now we have a high wind advisory for tomorrow and Wednesday. I'm counting on alllllll of my leaves being blown out of my yard and none of my neighbor's leaves blown into mine. Wishful thinking??

I scheduled a fill for Nov. 15. That's St. Antler day around here.. first day of deer hunting. The roads should be pretty bare with all the hunters in the woods. I am going to get a fill to bring me up to 3.5 cc's. I had 3.7 in before surgery and that was just a smidge too tight. I have 2.9 in now and it's not cutting it at all. I ate a 6" subway flatbread sandwich today with no problem. We are having authentic U.P. pasties for dinner tonight. Bob bought some on his trip Saturday. I didn't have to make them!! :)

I did some laundry today and then rearranged the kitchen, added a leaf to the table and moved the island around. We need more room since there are 4 of us eating at the table now instead of 2. No job yet for Joe, but I'm still praying that something will come through for him. Not sure he and Jen will stick it out after January. They just make better friends than spouses at the moment. We shall see.

Everyone have a good evening..

Community Chorus rehearsal for the Messiah tonight. Can't believe it's that time again!!!

Hello, gas man didn't take me to lunch.< /span>

I am getting ready to go to cell phone places to see about phone plans. Fun fun....

Did she get married?

It has been in the eighties but I think we are headed for the 70's and maybe even the 60's. We got rain last night for the first time in over a month!!

Is anyone watching Oprah? Oh my Gosh is all I can say! Heart wrenching and uplifting at the same time.

Good afternoon, Violets..

A blustery Winnie the Pooh kinda day here today. We took Grady and Ethan to the mall to play in the "bouncy" place. Ethan loved it, but Grady didn't. When it was time to leave, Ethan threw a fit so he and Joe went home while Kris and Grady and I went out to lunch. When I came back home, Ethan was sitting at the dining room table and had to stay there a few more minutes. He apologized to me, but his daddy says no computer or video games today. Guess I'll be reading a LOT of books to him today! Thank goodness he can still watch soome cartoons on tv otherwise he'd drive me nuts!!

Off to read some more....

Everyone have a great day!

Listenin to Carson scream through nap attempt. Schools close for bad weather now, so I had to pick him up an hour ago from daycare, we have tornados on the way. I want him to get his nap over with before it hits (in about an hour), but he's screaming his head off.

SLEEP!!! ARRGHGHGH.

Bad timing, why couldn't storms come earlier or later, this is messing up his routine.

Morning girls~

I wanted to post at the butt crack of dawn, actually way before dawn because I get too busy at work to jump in!

I went to bed at 7:50 last night...and didn't move until 5am! My left hip is sore cause I didn't move...like literally, didn't turn over for 9 hours! Too tired, but today I feel better!

Worked out Monday and will do a repeat today! I really wanna work on core strength, and weight training until the surgery. It is nice to not have to worry about cardio for a few weeks...it makes it nice to walk into the gym! I SHOULD do the eliptical for my leg strength, but will do leg presses instead!

Not much else going on...looking forward to a mellow weekend, just with a Halloween party on Sat. It is mandatory costume...and we will be rocking the pirates again (easy!).

Almost finished with Freedom...actually at 93%. I really loved this book, love the complexity of Walter and Patty. I've already downloaded Room: A Novel. CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT! If you haven't heard about that yet, check it out:

Amazon.com: Room: A Novel (9780316098335): Emma Donoghue: Books: Reviews, Prices & more

Hope everyone is well...haven't heard from Haydee, is she gone? Laura, I LOVED cracker!!! That rain was crazy! Judy, don't get blown away! Jane, what is the Walmart meeting about if it was already approved? Michelle, what is up chica?

HAVE A GREAT DAY GIRLS!:biggrin::):w00t:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
