Morning Girls~

AAAHHH...slept in until 6:20!!! Wowser! That felt great, been a long week!

Today we are having a lady come over to bid our blinds. I hope we can afford it! We have curtains now, and I don't like them. Whether we go with her or not, these curtains are temporary.

Then we are off to the commissary! Need to do some stock up kinda shopping. I'll make sure to get some Hackbraten:wink:!!

Then tonight we are having dinner w/ Jenny, Annette, Jackie and Melissa to Celebrate Jenny's bday! Going to Burgers and Beer (Jenny's favorite) and then back here to have chocolate chocolate cake!! (another fav)

Have a great weekend everyone! I've gotta rent us a van for our gathering. Also, I have a bit of a problem...3 of you get in at 11am, 2 at 12:20...and I get off at 2?!:eek::scared2: Susanne works Thursday too (off Friday w/ us...we hope) so I need to figure out what to do with the time warp! haha...don't worry, I'll take care of you all! Promise!

Pamela, can't we all just sit and chat? I bet we could find something to talk about, and if nothing else there is always airport food!! By the time we get our luggage and get cozy you will be there anyways. Actually I bet I am the only one checking in my luggage, am I right??

Okay I am poooooooooopppeed!!!!!! Busy day at haircutting place, plus I was there by myself and some CRAZY lady came in wanting a perm, I had two people there and was expecting my third in few and just couldn't get rid of her. She made me run behind!!! She wouldn't leave me alone!! She said she was leaving, but she would be back to talk to me some more, but I said not without an appointment!! Crazy crazy....

Okay I think everyone is out having fun!!!

Be safe!!

Janie, wait til u see the ps airport... it's teensy! But I'm sure there's a spot we can hang out. Or we could hop a cab to the casino. Whatever. No worries.

(((Judy Judy Judy))) you're a trooper!!!

Am in the car w the whole fam-damily on the way to the beach for the day! Woke up @ 4:30!! My mom & sis are there, so that'll be fun + we have shower access, etc. We should be there by 9am... first stop will be b'fast @ the Frog House, an annual tradition. Then sun & surf & shopping & eating... we're cramming a week's worth of beach fun into one day!

Everyone make it a good day!

Good morning, Violets..

Brrrrrrr 51 degrees out right now. It's 63 in the house, but I'm NOT turning on the furnace! I turned on the heater in the fireplace just to take the chill off.

I don't have any problems waiting in the airport with the Violets! And yes, I am checking luggage. The less I have to carry on board, the better I'll be.

Off to church, then a nap, then a going away party for a friend. Hope to get some pool time in if it warms up a bit.

Everyone have a great day!

The casino sounds fun Michelle!! A nice little diversion, whatever. Are you up to it Judy? Will they watch our bags? Because you know since we are going to PS I am taking all my diamonds and gold and would HATE to have that stolen on the first day!! Plus I would not want to lug that around in a casino! I know the casinos here have little scooters I only go about once a year or so. Wow, I am rambling.....................

Off to see "State Fair", our favorite brunch place is not serving brunch anymore, so we are on a brunch hunt. It really was my dad's favorite place. I am really surprised they didn't call him. My parents usually go about once a month, I usually go a couple times a year. See here I go rambling again...................

HAVE A GREAT DAY, IT IS A BEAUTIFUL DAY HERE!!!!

Woke up to some sad news today. David Bailey, who is a singer/songwriter and has been struggling with an active and aggressive brain tumor since I have known him (13 years) went into hospice. He has the worst kind of brain tumor to have, and yet he lived and flourished. He is amazing. He does a lot of church work also so maybe Judy might possibly know of him because he has done a lot of work with the Presbyterian group. He put on a lot of concerts. Sad, but he put up a fight like nobody else!!!!

Okay, I am going to shop just a little this morning then off to work at one. Most of my tops have color on them, so now is the time when I can get some cheap.

Sorry if I brought everybody down. Actually I think I was lucky to have been touched by David. He was not a big part of my life, only met him about 3 or 4 times, but wow, what an inspiration!

Good afternoon, Violets..

What a dreary day here today. I got up at 8, putzed on the computer a bit, took a pain pill, then laid on the couch for a nap. Now I'm up, took another pain pill and waiting for Bob to bring lunch home. I'm having the chicken flatbread sandwich from Taco Bell. He's going golfing and I'm going to work out on the stationary bike for awhile. I have therapy tomorrow morning. The knee is bothersome, but it is what it is and I can only do what I can do. That's my mantra for now.

Janie.. sorry to hear about your friend. I looked him up and found this... he's given a lot of people hope and inspiration.

david m. bailey - Love the Time!

No pool time today. It's only 60 degrees out, but the hot tub is calling my name. I'm definitely going in there this evening. I'm anxious to see if it does anything for my knee. Bob has it set for 102 to start. Might have to up it a degree or two, but we'll see.

Everyone have a good day. It's back to laboring tomorrow! Sure am glad I don't have to worry about the first day of school. Instead I have to worry about therapy at 8:30... arghhhhhhhhh

Good morning, Violets..

Thanks for the hug Michelle.. yep.. we always can use one of those !!

I had a therapy session at 8:30 and it went extremely well. They called my doctor after my melt down session on Friday. To my immense relief, he said he was fine with my progress so I don't have to worry about any more manipulation. My therapist and I talked and talked today and she thanked me for addressing the issue of the terrorist therapist. She said therapy is an art and when a patient says stop.. that means.. stop!! She was glad I said I wouldn't work with the other therapist again because some people would just continue with the pain rather than say anything.

So anyway... got the knee to bend to 112 today with very little pain. The hot tub is helping too. It's all good right now. I see the doc on Thursday and I'm no longer afraid of what he's going to say.

Well.. after 2 percocet and a Bayer aspirin, I'm having a little difficulty typing this without having to go back and correct tons of mistakes so I better quit and lay down for a bit.

Everyone have a great day!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
