4 days from my surgiversary & my band slipped

 So my band has been too tight for awhile now apparently... I of course thought it was something I was doing wrong not the band... My doc did a chest xray and my band is not aligned properly. I have what he called "a little slip". He's going in to fix it today, fingers crossed that I wake up from surgery still with a band. I feel so guilty, like i've abused my child. :frown: I should have known, I should have listened, I should have gone in right away instead of being hardheaded and trying to "handle" it on my own. Please please please learn from my mistake, don't assume anything and pester your doctor if needed. It's what they are there for. :smile2:

So I'm home now. It wasn't nearly as painful as the first surgery. My doctor ended up backing off a little from the whole "it's your fault for leaving it too tight for a month" theory. He told my family that yes being so tight probably contributed but that me losing so much so fast probably helped it slip as well. So i don't feel quite as guilty as I did. We will definitely be staying on the loose side from now on...

I'm glad to hear he didnt remove it since you wanted to keep it. I hope you heal fast and everything works out for you. Good luck.
