worst case of hemmorhoids

I'm 5 days banded and finally felt the need to "go". Without getting into too much information, I am in excruciating pain. I went to work today but left after an hour because of it. I am drinking plenty of water, and trying to increase it even more. Is there anything else I can do. It's so bad, I'm thinking of going into the doctor's office tomorrow. Other than that, I feel terrific.

I had kinda the same problem. I wouldn't go for a week without using the bathroom. When I did, I was on the toilet for an hour or more, and I threw up. I was white as a ghost, and I had to take off work b/c I felt bad. I started taking milk of mag. and it does the job. My doctor recommends Colace so I got some of that to try.

i've been kinda having the same problem. it's gotten a bit better than it was a few days back but it's still hard to "go". i talked to my doc's office about it and they said try dulcolax suppositories or miralax. so i tried the dulcolax and it worked alright but wasn't all that pleasant. i've had to use the dulcolax twice and afterwards i did experience some relief. i bought the miralax but haven't been able to bring myself to try it cuz it smells like glue. yeah. and there's just something that doesn't seem right about mixing something that smells like glue in with water and drinking it. i bought some milk of magnesia and am probably gonna try that if i haven't gone on my own by bedtime tonight. i haven't tried m of m post band but i used it a few times pre band and it always worked great. just like it says "gentle overnight relief".

I tried the Milk of Mag. last night before bed and relieved myself twice this morning....it was a welcome relief
