So today I decided to do a no-no and ate 2 soft pretzels.

For the past 3-4 hours, I have had severe pains on my left side under my boob. It hurts to breath in deep; is the pretzel stuck??? Do I go to the ER?

I haven't thrown up or anything.....I did lots of Water and GAS-X strips...

if you can drink water and it stays down, you are not stuck. You could have pulled or stretched something maybe? from my experience, if I'm stuck, the food is either down or up within 45 minutes.

A stuck episode can last quite a while, try to get through it.

The ER won't help much, does your doctor have an after hours number?

Could be partially stuck. Instead of sipping Water, try a water shot of about a cup. Just toss 'er back, but stand near a sink or toilet!

I also find a few good thumps to the sternum helps move things along... but not usually downward.
