New to Lap Band Talk!

Hello all!! I am new to this site, however, not new to the Lapband, I currently just passed my two year anniversary from having the Lapband and couldn't be happier with my choice. I also have been working for the surgeron that does these surgeries for almost four years now. I am anxious to start talking to some of you!

Hello, CONGRATULATIONS - that is awesome. I have a surgery date of April 7th and have an appt with the office on Friday. I am very excited and nervous at the same time. I am more nervious about after the surgery and not losing the weight, and what all I should eat and how soon I can exercise.

You should be excited!!! This is going to be the best thing you have ever done for yourself! Don't be worried about the surgery, the morning you go into surgery, think to yourself, this is the first day of the "start" of my "new" life! As far as losing weight afterwards, my advice to you is, go in with an open mind, and realize right away it won't happen over night, and that you have to make it work for you! I am very proud of you for making this choice, and if you need someone to talk to I am here!
