I take two children's multi-vitamins in the morning. 1 Viative 2 hours later and another Viactive in the evening.

Hi pmommy,

I take One-A-Day (Energy). They are 'normal' Vitamins and are packed with the B Vitamins we need as well as Biotin. It's the only formula out on the market that I could find that I could tolerate. chewables are just yucky to me and forget liquids... they leave such a horrible taste in my mouth. It's going to be what works best for you. I was banded less than a year ago and have 4.5cc's in my band. I'm successful at taking these so I keep on keepin' on! :) Good luck with what you find and check out the Vitamin Shoppe that have tons to choose from!

Hi there!

Thanks for your response. I did some research on the suggestions and for taking just one pill, this one seems to have the most beneficial formula and full daily rec. for Biotin. :( However I bought some and opened those puppies to take a peek. Holy smokes, they are huge!!!! Do you take these whole with no issues? I hope to be fortunate to be able to take pills but those things scare me now, pre-banded. :(

Hi pmommy...

Yup... I sure do! :( I was nervous at first too, but they go down. I have to take synthroid for my thyroid so I take that first thing in the morning. Have my coffee when I get into work. (2 reasons, one for the caffine  and the other for the warm liquid to help clear out my pouch.) Then I take my Vitamin and a fish oil capsule. I search and search until I found something. These are what works best for me. Especially since the formula has everything we need... all the B's, Biotin, & Calcium. You'll be surprised what you can take - I know i was!

Good luck... let me know how you do. Friend me if you want to keep in touch!

Has anyone found a bariatric formula Multivitamin that you only have to take once a day?

My nutritionist says I can't take a Multivitamin at the same time as a dairy product (but I do have to take them with food). Since I'm trying to get in so much Protein, I have dairy with almost every meal or snack... so I'm having a hard time finding two times a day when I can take my vitamin!

I was taking the Flintstone's chewables, but I've recently switched up to the Centrum Multi-Vitamin, Biotin 1000 mcg, and B-complex with Vitamin C with rose hips and rice bran (from Finest Natural bought at WalGreens). It's funny, the B-complex is a bright yellow in color, and when I pee, my pee is neon yellow!

My doctor insists on Bariatric Vitamins. So I got some samples of both the Bariatric Advantage the Celebrate. I thought the Bariatric Advantage were nasty tasting and my mouth felt gritty for a while. The Celebrate ones taste pretty good, and they were more powdery than gritty. I can handle that though. It went down easier. They will send you free samples to try.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
