Can YOU feel your band?

I am one week post surgery and I swear I can FEEL that band around my stomach. It is not so much painful as it is uncomfortable. Is this normal?

I could, or I imagined I could, for a few days after surgery. It went away pretty quickly, though.

Nope....never felt it....

I never felt it, but you just had surgery around your stomach...Don't be afraid to check in with your doctors office if you are concerned.

In the months to come, I would be really surprised if you feel your band...you may however feel your port, as that area heals. Just in case you're not sure which is which (and I've had more than one person I've been mentoring ask), band is located up behind your breast bone, port is probably just below your largerst incision (but different docs place the port in different places)

Hi:

I can only feel my band if I'm having issues with it being too tight. I've had to have an unfill because I could feel pain where my band is when I swallowed liquid. I think it was after I had a head cold so it was probably swollen because of post nasal drip.

Best wishes to you newbie.

I love my band and my new flat tummy.

Sue
