this is a great thread, i hate always thinking about the scale. i bought 2 pairs of 20s while i was a 26. i hope to be in them this month, im in a 22 now and they are getting a bit baggy. i can put the 20s on but can't button/zip. im looking forward to getting in them.

I do the same thing - up until this point I always had a "smaller" size to work to get into - I'm now in my 12's (started in a 22/24) and just the other day bought a pair of 10's that i can get on but would never wear out in public - they are my new goal - I have to say the look so little :rolleyes2:   After that I'll move on to an 8 for my goal .. :bored:

I know what you are saying about them looking small, I was in a 24 and now I'm in a 10 and when I do laundry I pull them out of the wash and have to take a double take to make sure they are mine and I always think to myself wow they're little. Maybe to someone else they would look big but I think they just look so small.

I just finally got into the 10s today...I have tried them on way too many times and they just gave me a huge muffin top...I have a fat waist, the hips are never an issue. Anyway I was feeling pretty good today and thought I'd disappoint myself one more time by trying them on and...WOW they fit!

I dont believe I could just go shopping and randomly buy size 10s though. These are a 10 short Levis and I have to wonder if they run big...whatever, I'm happy!

If anyone out there hasnt seen Lellow's pix with the jeans each laid on top of the other...go to her page and look. I did one of my own for my home screensaver!!

I have the same issue with the wide waist so I buy Lowrise and midrise, the midrise fit best and the don't button right on the waist so no muffin top. Next time your in the store just try a pair on and see what you think. I have to wear a belt for the first time in my life, it's really weird.

Clothes are a huge motivator for me, too--but I can't buy in advance, because I'm never quite sure what areas are going to shrink next!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
