  1. I am 5'8 - starting weight was 258 Current weight is 148 give or take a pound or two depending on the day My origial goal was 155 - I am very happy where I am and love seeing that 140 something on the scale It puts me well with in the middle of the normal range on BMI I am in a size 5-6 so I'm loving it! I figure if I am ever able to get my tummy tuck I'd loose another 5-8 pounds (maybe more). Due to a genetic Cancer issue, I am getting new boobs in a couple of months so that's the first thing to get worked on!
  2. 2 pounds to go - come on guys we can all do it  (then we will see if another 10 pounds magicaly comes off... but then my close will not fit again!!
  3. Ok 4 pounds left!! I safely in the "healthy" BMI category and one pound from 100 lost!! I kind of wonder if I will be "Happy" when I reach goal or if I will readjust another 10 pounds... wow that would be CRAZY!!!!
  4. string cheese, crab (takes a while to shell it so you eat slow), fish, and Soups are my favorites  Also love deviled eggs and some days those are something I can get down! I still do atleast one Protein drink a day - no way can i get enougth protein if I don't so that is usually my breakfast!
  5. I vote yes, but it is probably one of the healthies fast food choices - I haven't eaten there since my surgery - I couldn't get one bite of bread down.. no way! but mmm.. sure sounds yummy!
  6. 31 after I had my babies
  7. I have heard my doctor state that those who have lap band have one of the highest divorce rates of any surgery or procedure - I don't have facts to back this up but it does really make sense to me.... happly my marriage is wonderful and this has been a great decision for me and my family! I do have some co-workers who are very jealous but I have not shared my surgery with many outside my work circle and my parents (I work at the hospital where my surgery was done so hard to hide that one)! I think you got good answers to your questions about being stuck so I won't go there :smile2:
  8. Ok let's do a a check in... how's everyone doing? I'm loosing but the rough way.. I'm going in today to have more Fluid removed -still too tight - not getting much of anything down, or keeping it down... even fluids so gotta do it  I'm happy with how the scale looks, but this too tough of a way to go... I think I want to eat something and it will come off maybe a little slower which is ok... getting close that ten pounds to go mark  How about you guys?
  9. For me feeling full now is NOTHING like pre-banded - I feel almost a preassure or tightness in my chest and I get the hiccups if I eat too much :smile2: I have never felt that really satisfying full feeling I use to get.. which is ok 91 pounds down at my not quite year mark  12 pounds to go to GOAL - I don't miss that full feeling one bit!
  10. OK how are we doing... how can we make this happen and get motivated? Ideas??? I'm going swim suit shopping Friday - I'm sure those mirrors will scare some pounds off and motivate me for a short time ... eeekkk!!!!
  11. 1. Keeping my band tight - not skimping on my fills or putting them off - If I think i even MIGHT need a fill - I get one - Fluid can always be taken out if it must be. 2. Setting goals along the way - clothes to fit into and number on the scale both work well for me. 3. Protein - I still drink 1 Protein Drink in the am when I'm too tight for Breakfast - its the only way I get enough in...
  12. for sure smallest clothes in the closet fitting! I've gotten back into all of my goal clothes and my very favorite back in the day feeling skinny goal pants are now too big! Time to shop for new things - but I want to lose my last 18 or so pounds first :scared2: I really NEVER thought those clothes would fit again.. NEVER
  13. I took two weeks off, but I also had my tonsills removed at the same time as my band was put in... tonsills were WAY worse than the band :scared2: That was cake!
  14. OK lets do this!! I got a fill about 10 days ago - my last one had been about 6 months ago and I had pretty decent restriction most of the time, but thought I'd give it a try - I got .25cc -- it was way too much - so I went back and had .1 taken back out- Ithink I am still too tight- but I'm keeing fluids down if I take it slow and don't feel hungry at all - I just worry about my energy levels so we will see - I do like that the scale is moving.. Not sure where you guys are located, but here spring is finally on it's way in so I'm hoping to get outside doing yard work etc to help burn some bonus calories as well... SOOOOO what is your plan and what can we do to get rolling?
  15. mine was 6 weeks - that is my docs standard.
