Just when I think everything is set for my new mission - surgery date 10/8.....another bump in the road. Received a call today from my Patient Advocate that I need to bring $3500 to my pre-op appointment on Wednesday. Apparently, my insurance will cover everything but the surgeon fee. Don't take me wrong, I am grateful that my insurance is covering anything at all, but have no idea how to find $3500 by 7am Wednesday. UGH!!!!!!! :smile:

R gran, I feel ya! Started the pre-op diet yesterday and doing ok, just seem extra tired. Hopefully 2 weeks will pass quickly for both of us. HUGS

I start my pre-op diet tomorrow. 2-3 protein drinks a day and 2 lean meals a day, no fat, no fried, low carb, ect.

I too am in Stockbridge! I have 2 sons, age 10 and 12. I have been overweight for as long as I can remember, and it is time I took control of my life. I choose to use Dr. Titus Duncan at Atlanta Medical Center, and I can not say enough good things about him or his staff. I am scheduled to be banded on 10/8! And I am so excited! I look forward to meeting all of my fellow GA bandsters!

Awww, how sweet "nurse from ga"! I hope to be back in the office within a few days. From everything I have read here, it really varies by person. SSJ is hoping sooner than later! LOL! She doesn't like being without me. I hope to be there for you on the 13th! Hugs!

Don't be too hard on yourself. Everyone's body reacts differently to the pre-op diet, and if you are adding exercise that you haven't before, you are also building a bit of muscle!
