Angel, I am so sorry to hear about your frustration. I have my consult tomorrow and hope I don't leave with the same frustration, but feeling like I might. I don't understand why some offices aren't upfront with all that is required by the surgeon in order to proceed. It seems like you have the same insurance requirements as me, 6 mo diet and psych eval. What other tests do you have to do now? I am praying for quick appointments for you so you can get through all the testing. I look forward to following your journey.

Don't ever feel like you need to apologize for brining your concern to the group. I am not banded yet, but that is one of the things I have found most supportive about this group - we are here for each other. I too am sorry for your loss, and certain it has made you think twice, but you must know all the facts before you let it change your mind about something you are doing for yourself and to make yourself healthier. I am so sorry you are having to go through this at such a pivotal point in your life.

I completely understand how you feel! I am getting the same responses. I am just 5'1" and wear my weight very well, but I am also 210 pounds. No one believes it! And I always get the you are not big enough lecture. Well I am big enough to have diabetes, high cholesterol, sleep issues, ect - so I guess I am big enough to make my own decisions! I am with you ~ I have given up tellling anyone else. I am just going to move forward for the exact reason I have decided the lapband is what I need ~ a tool to enable me to take better care of myself.

I agree that is the best plan of attack! That way you know for sure what is going on. I would hate for you to have to cancel if there isn't anything going on. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please update when you can.

I do not have any experience to share....heck I don't even have a band yet. Just wanted to let you know that I am glad that you finally got your doctor to see your point of view. Afterall, the port is bothering you, so it should be fixed! Good Luck! Keep us posted!

I had my psych eval yesterday. It was different then I expected, but it went very well. I took 3 hours worth of tests and then had a 45 minute interview. The Phd that my surgeon's office referred me to was very nice! I can not wait to share in your journey's!
