I recently completed my preevaluation for the lap band. I was preapproved based on my BMI being 45. Yikes! Anyway I am just waiting on what my insurance says. My last appt was on July 13th. I went through True Results in Richardson and they informed me who my surgeon would be. His name is Dr. John Marsden and I read up on him. He seems to have a lot of expertise with the lapband and I have seen good reviews on him so far. If anyone has been banded by Dr. Marsden, please share your experience with me. I am excited about the lap band and decided to go this route after many failed attempts at dieting, exercise. I think you get to a point where you realize that you can't do it on your own and sometimes you just need a starting point. That's what I see the lap band as a starting tool for me really get healthly, look good and feel better about myself overall. I will keep you all posted on my journey.

I was banded on 7/9/10 by Dr. Marsden. He was great! I have not had any problems, I think the worst part was waking from surgery, and I think my shoulder hurt worse than my stomach, because of they have to pump some air into your body while you are under. I had my surgery at True results in Richardson as well and i had a wonderful experience, the nurses and all staff are wonderful!

Feels like I am all over the place. :cool2: Anyways just found out my tentative surgery date is set for August 13th. I was approved on July 28th.
