Size 14.......wow, that is wonderful. I also have 5.7 cc and going for another fill next week but thinking about not getting it because I feel I have enough like you. I did get an over fill once and she is right, it is not pretty when you can not even get a protein shake down and then go back for an unfill. So really think about it before you get your fill just like I am going to really think about it......LOL I am in 16 but kind of tight but can wear it all day long but rather be in that 18. I am getting the loose skin now and hating it. Swimming is my exercise which I just started to do but is helping.
Again, congrats on your size 14 and lets both get into that onederland like others talk about.

Wow, should have read that. Had my surgery Dec 31st and have lost 60 lbs and stuck here but hope to continue. Also not a water drinker or writing down everything. How many cc's do you have in your band? Don't give up because like you said you have gone down in size and clothes feels good on you so that must make you feel good. Hope you have a good day and think thin.

When you see people shoveling food in their mouth, just think to yourself they can not socialize and eat too but you can be social and get to know people around you. Food is not the whole world, your family and friends are which I am finding out. 6 months ago I had my surgery and wish I did it many more years ago but I have done it and not sorry one bit. I using my tool and learning how to eat the correct way. As kchaynes says we struggle everyday which is very true but well worth it. Good luck.................Judy

I just looked at all your pictures and I think you made the right choice. You look great and yes, it is easier putting the weight on than taking it off. My life has changed also, I don't eat out or in front of other people. But in 3 weeks we will be going to Alaska for a vacation and I will be eating out a few times and nervous about it but we will be renting a motor home for 2 weeks of the 4 weeks we will be gone so I just will have to be careful and enjoy myself. Soup is being on the safe side for me so I will be eating a lot of soup when we eat out....LOL Please don't think I should of done this or that and just work with what you have. Good luck to you and hope it works out for you.

I happy for you for getting your nip and tuck but sad for you bein stuck in bed. I am so happy to hear that your lap band worked so well for you and most of the people on here. I go to a support group and two of the girls has the lapband but ended up getting the bypass because it did not work for them. Well, you showed them that it does work and I am 1 1/2 years behind you and it will work for me. Can't wait to see the pictures when you are feeling better.

Get some pinneapple juice and sip on that and oh, I know the pain you were in. What was it that got stuck? Ritz Crackers is bad for me so I don't even look at them anymore. You described it just like it feels and it goes away as fast as it comes. I carry a cup around with me when I get that stuck feeling and can't swallow my own spit which is gross but it is better than standing over the sink. You have to try and relax because that will just make it tighter I have found out. Thanks for sharing because I know someone else goes thru what I go thru but have only been thru it about 4 times in 6 months and down 60 lbs.

Rosie said it and no other way to put it. Your soda and straw days are over with but it is well worth it.

Sounds to me you have a controlling husband and it might get bad when you start to loose more weight and people notice. You two better sit down and talk and make himi listen and then you listen to him. Talking in a marriage is the best. My husband has lost over 30 lbs in the past 6 months because he eats the same foods I eat but I still have cookies in the freezer for him when he gets a sweet tooth. He still weighs less that I do but I am catching up and he is always telling me how great I look and that makes me tingle all over to hear him say that. We had to do a lot to get our surgery and when you get a hey honey, you are looking good, it is all worth it. Make sure you tell your husband that you want that for him because you are doing this for yourself but also for him so he can be proud of you. Not saying he is not proud of you but all men like their woman not too fat and that was where I was ...............toooooooo fat. Good luck and please be open with him and make sure you share all your concerns with him.

I am happy that you realize what you are doing wrong. Get your protein, not only you are tired, YOUR HAIR might fall OUT. That scared me when I was told that. I do my shake every morning and even sometimes at night for my meal. My biggest meal is in the afternoon. I don't work so that works for me. I am old and retired but still loosing weight and I love my band. And don't mean to lecture you, take your vitamins, they are so important. I guess being an old Mom makes me type stuff like this. Good luck with your weight loss. Judy

I am with you............gained 2 lbs but it came right back off. Exercising every day. Love the pool exercise but hate looking at the extra skin under the water as I kick my legs. Hope to be kicking it away. Keep up the good work.

I don't know your age but I do know you are younger than I am. My 6 months will be tomorrow and I am down 60 lbs and just started to exercise last week and gained 2 lbs but I am back down now. I DO have to eat or drink a protein shake before I do any exercise. That protein shake that I drink is always enough for me until mid afternoon. So I would think you should eat or drink something before you go out in the morning. You will loose your 50 lbs by Xmas, if I can do it in 6 months at my age and NO exercise, you can do it too. Good Luck, Judy

You are doing great and I am looking for that onederland also. Funny how you get that stuck feeling and then not hungry after. I have gotten stuck a couple of times and IT HURTS. My worst one was Ritz Crackers and it lasted for hours of not being able to swallow my own spit. This is not the easy way out but we can all do it. Enjoy your day and think skinny.

No wedgy, no wedgy.......yeah for you. I had 3 sizes of underwear so the two big sizes are gone and I have so much more room in my drawer. Now for bras, it is time for me to buy new. My gravity hit boobs are falling out from under them, not over the top but under. You woman understand and I know you men are thinking WHAT??? LOL Have a good day and keep up that exercising........oh by the way, I gained 2 lbs from exercising but I expected it and it will come back off at next weigh in day which is Friday. Loved your story about your panties.

I am 5.7 cc and yes I am very tight in the morning. I have meds I have to take with yogurt. I crush my meds and it takes me forever to eat that yogurt. Sometimes I eat it too fast and have to get up and walk but it goes thru. At night, I take almost the same meds and I don't have to crush them and I still take them with Yogurt. 50 lbs that is great and fast. I had the band done on Dec 31st and have lost 59 lbs so you are doing VERY good according to me. And yes, at night I can eat more but I am like you and learning to stop and thinking I ate enough so to stop eating. I have caught myself doing the mindless eating and then I get in trouble even though it has been almost 6 months for me. I guess the fat girl will always be in me. Have a good day and think positive, your doing great. Remember we did not have the bypass where the weight comes off faster, we had the band which I feel was the correct choice.

That is great. I am kind of lucky where I have only had 2 stuck items. I have heard that a lot of people have one at least once a week. Guess we are eating the right foods. Keep up the good work and you will have new name ........ Yound and thin.......

Wow, my doctor would never put that much in at once. Be careful what you eat. I did talk my doctor into giving me a full cc and 24 hours later I was back there getting .8cc out. I could not even get a shake down. It was awful. I have 5.7 cc now and doing good with it but be careful what you eat for a few days because it does swell up and you get even tighter and then you can't even swallow your own spit. I hope for the best for you.

4 years.........wow and 75 lbs. Good luck to you and thanks for blogging. Most bloggers are just getting it done or has only had the band less than a year, like me. Good to hear from someone that has had it that long and still using it like you should.

I am with you. I am stuck at 210 but did have a weigh in day which is Fridays at 208. So the past few days have been 210. I want to see that onederland also. We will get there, this is no fade diet. This is a lifetime journey and we have a great tool. I love my band.

I guess my weight loss is from me NOT being the in the kitchen. I have a wonderful husband who will go out to the kitchen and make himself something to eat if I don't feel like just making him something after I have a shake for my meal. He has lost 30 lbs and he feels great and did not even have to go thru the surgery. MEN!!!! Sorry Michael. I feel for ya having to cook all the time but you know you are grazing and admitting it so now STOP. Another Italian that is too blunt.

I could have written your blog except for the fact that I have told very few people. My kids and 3 good friends and that is all. Afraid of what people would think like your taking the easy way out just like I use to think. LOL we were so wrong for thinking that. I have a long ways to go but with blogs like this helps me with my own feelings and what I should be eating. Thanks Diane, great reading.

I read your blog and want to share something. I started this journey on June 25, 2010 and surgery day was Dec 31st. I went to my first support group meeting, doctors orders, and a girl was there saying she lost 60lbs. I thought, yeah right, I have never lost that much weight in my life on any diet. Well, Friday was my weigh in day and I lost 59lbs. I have a lot more to loose and I am going to do it and so will you so good luck.

That was a great blog and it hit home when you said just one bite won't hurt. I remember when I was told that my sugar was too high and had to start pricking my finger every day back in 2004 and a friend made a cake and told me just one bite won't hurt, well I walked away from her thinking I wanted to hit her because that one bite would have hurt just like the fingers that I pricked each morning. I lost 3 lbs last week but stayed the same this week which is ok. I did not gain. I try and swim each day during the week for an hour which is walking, kicking my legs and moving my arms. My weekends are so full of things to do that I don't get a chance to go the pool which I kind of miss and can't wait until the Monday. Wow, never thought I would ever say that. You have a good day and keep up the good work.
