odd??- the ones you listed were the very ones listed on my "DO NOT DRINK" page!!! i use Mycoplex if i must use a premixed drink (on the go, the week after my fills, etc...)... but on a daily bases i use EAS 100% whey, for example (protein: 23g sugar:1g carbs:3g )

i love the vanilla protein powder b/c then i can add frozen fruit (fresh), a small double-shot yogurt (frozen), 1 pkg Splenda, 4 ice cubes and just a little water. I keep everything frozen until i'm ready to blend. it tastes so good! like a shake!!! i make it thick and can eat it like ice cream (and pretend)!! yum!

this is the bandster hell! the weeks/months after surgery but before your restriction sets in!!! try...SF ice pops, home made icees (SF), protein..... just remind yourself that the band is not working yet (until its adjusted properly) so dont be angry at yourself for being hungry...

my new saying (when i "cheat") is that i am definitely eating far less than i would have eaten before my surgery, so i'm still ahead of the game!!! we still have to live, just skinnier! LOL!
  8. I'd love to see size 12 again!!! i remember when i was younger i would by a 12 b/c i really liked baggy clothes (never was "skin-tight" type girl) My mom would fuss and say "why are you getting that so big?!" .... then i grew and the size 12 fit...then i grew some more and the size 12 was history!!! so now I'd LOVE to be a size 12!!!

closet shopping is great. i have clothes boxed up and saved from as far back as 1986, size 6!!! i am also very "thrifty", so some of my nicer "fat clothes" i will keep boxed up (for now)..other things I've thrown out as soon as they start to look baggy/sloppy. i think this is natural behavior for those of use who have lost and regained so many times before. we don't trust ourselves, yet!!!

so i've never been one for "short shorts", even back before when i was "skinny". I've always been modest and gravitated toward longer, walking length style shorts. Well, i found a cute little pair of shorts in Kohl's, on the clearence rack, the other day and they fit!! They were NOT "Daisy Dukes" mind you!! (I've lost a little weight, not my mind!!! :scared2:LOL!) I put them on today and admired myself in the mirror....what the heck was looking back at me??? "dimples" lots of them!!! all over my legs!!! when did i develope Cellulite???????? :cursing:UGH! so i dug the tag out of the trash can and put the shorts back in the bag (return!!!).... *sigh*.......

Isopure has a good tasting, clear, liquid protein drink. you can even print a coupon from this site. I purchased mine at GNC. Also, there are tubes of a clear liquid protein shots. I purchased mine from WalMart & Target. you can buy them individually or in packs. they help w/energy and protein consumption. they are clear. I am not home right now but if you send me a reminder later, I will look up the exact names and get back to you.
  12. hmmm....?? maybe i should buy a scale? Ikea has one for $5.00... LOL!

yes, you deserve the ankle bracelet!!! I envy you - i cant afford a gym membership or a personal trainer!!!! you go girl!!!
  14. @Debra G. no this would be my 4th fill. my 3rd one was over a month ago... @SandraD...thnx for the applesause/tea tip! and yes, i need a band partner in Tampa!!! come on down! LOL! @LooseIt...yup, for the last few days I've just been chew, chew, chewing then wait, wait, waiting after my first bite. my husband is getting use to it....it also has encouraged me to order even less b/c i would never finish!!! LOL!
  15. Interesting thoughts...but I have no idea "how to stop shrinking"..... :-)
  16. ok, so now my band is doing this new weird thing ("the band" has a life of its own!!!!)... the first few bites of anything i eat wont go down! no matter how much i chew!!! it gets stuck...so i have to wait, wait, wait...walk around w/my hands up in the air, etc.... but everything after that goes down fine....slowly but fine....Bizarrooo!!! I've actually had to puke several times over the last few days. I know thats not good...so i went back to the basics: protein shakes in the morning and mushies (heavy on the protien side...pureed meat) throughout the rest of the day...maybe my band is irratated so i need to baby it? the odder thing is, my band is tight but i still never feel full....maybe it is in my head?? well, i guess i wont be going to get that fill next Fri??? I havent gone anywhere near a scale b/c i figure right about now is when the damage of my last vacation should be showing up! we're leaving for Tampa tomorrow but the hotel has a gym and i have NO intentions of repeating my "vacation splurge" of last month!! LOL!
  17. I too think that dressing and looking "cute" makes me appear 'not so fat'!! i dont eat on the day i go to visit my Doc (non-fill appts) and i dress "cute"... but i will say that no matter how big I've gotten, I have always refused to dress "baggy & sloppy"!!! which is why as I loose, I'm on the bargain rack shopping for the next size down... keep up the good work! and great attitude!!

yes! "stretchies" count!! i purchased a pair today!!! tan capris...
  22. after my fills, i have to do 24hours of clear liquids, 1 week of liquids, then 1 week of pureed, then 1 week of "mushies"....maybe you need to slow down on your food consumption? i had 5cc at once and i was fine :-) and Janet is right, sip dont gulp.....
  23. J_BandRanger commented on sweetsagi's blog entry in Blog 82480
the first time my doc saw me, he checked my previous fill (about 2cc??) and said my band was "wide open". so he put in 5cc. he even said that was a "record" but it was great! i had to get a third fill about a month later but that did the trick. I was glad that i didnt keep going in a bunch of times for teeny tiny fills. give it a while and see what works for you! 15pounds is great! especially if you havent reached your "sweet spot" yet!!! congratulations!!!
  24. you did it! i know you been aiming for the "twenties"!!! excellent!! now watch us get to the "tens" !!! yay us!
