new weird thing....

ok, so now my band is doing this new weird thing ("the band" has a life of its own!!!!)...

the first few bites of anything i eat wont go down! no matter how much i chew!!! it gets stuck...so i have to wait, wait, wait...walk around w/my hands up in the air, etc.... but everything after that goes down fine....slowly but fine....Bizarrooo!!!

I've actually had to puke several times over the last few days.

I know thats not good...so i went back to the basics: protein shakes in the morning and mushies (heavy on the protien side...pureed meat) throughout the rest of the day...maybe my band is irratated so i need to baby it?

the odder thing is, my band is tight but i still never feel full....maybe it is in my head??

well, i guess i wont be going to get that fill next Fri???

I havent gone anywhere near a scale b/c i figure right about now is when the damage of my last vacation should be showing up!

we're leaving for Tampa tomorrow but the hotel has a gym and i have NO intentions of repeating my "vacation splurge" of last month!! LOL! :)

Hello J_BandRanger . Is this your first fill, if so maybe your band and you have to get use to it. I would get on the scale because you need to know where you are, and if you have lost or gain weight from going to Tampa. working out at the gym is a great thing. Have a great vacation. All the best to you..

Hi Ranger! Try having a couple sips of hot tea or a teaspoon of applesauce? My PA recommended this last week for me because I was having the same thing and it has totally eliminated the situation. If I don't do this, no matter how much I chew that first bite it gets stuck. She called it "waking up the pouch". Good luck and have a great vacation! (Sure you don't want a lap band consultant along for the ride? LOL).

Some days I have the same problem, it is like I can't eat because nothing will go down and my band feels like it is going to scrunch up it is so tight and I can't eat until later in the day. If you don't feel like weighing yourself don't because you may just be disappointed in what the scale says. Just do the gym while you are away and then get on the scale when you return and be prepared for the results. You should have a great time while you are gone. Have fun.

I always have a problem with my first bite. My friends have gotten used to me now, taking my first bite then sitting and listening (or having) coversation for the next five minutes or so. Once I feel it go through, I start my meal and rarely have any issues.

I definitely wouldn't be thinking about a fill if you are having these kinds of issues. Good luck girlie!

Thanks for the tip on the tea and applesauce I will try it. I too leave for vacation tomorrow and was sowooried about getting this second fill so close but its all good! Have a great time!!
