  1. I have been on the depo-shot for three years and havent had my period in 2 years. About a week into my pre-op diet I started spotting. I am pretty sure the rapid weight loss is messing with my body and that is what has caused it!
  2. Idk if its the best choice for me. My belly button kinda sit where my stomach bends. So im not sure how comfortable it would be for me. I was told he will talk to me before surgery and discuss whats better because when I went to meet him first this wasnt introduced. Either way ive seen pics of people and the scars are barely there!
  3. I drink platinum hydrowhey. It is expensive but the taste is really good. I have no problem drinking them and still havent gotten sick of it. I buy it at my gym and my personal trainer gives me 10% off. The slim fast is also pretty mangable but I have a hard time finding it anymore.
  4. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of TX and they said they usually respond 30-45 days... it happened in less then a week I was approved.
  5. Wow... odd. I just saw on tv not too long ago where she said it was removed. Who knows what the truth really is!
  6. Im down 30 pounds and I can see it in my face just a bit and my work pants fit better.. but other then that, no change.
  7. Well i have lost 31 pounds since the end of January when I started my 3 month diet. I can notice in my face that I lost weight and my pants fit better now, but other then that no no difference :-(... I cant wait to be banded and start losing enough where its obvious that I lost the weight!
  8. Im calling to find out tomorrow.. haha
  9. no nailpolish? what! I was going to go get a pedi and mani tomorrow before surgery monday.. now im wondering if I shouldnt :-(
  10. Kerri, ignore the scale right now! You are recovering from surgery!
  11. The first day I thought I would never make it! Then it got easier. About day 5 for me I wasnt hungry at all and I now have to force myself to eat. It seems like im the only one with this problem, so dont look forward to that. lol The only good thing about this diet is that I am down 16 pounds in 11 days.
  12. Maybe you should cut the diet pop out... it makes you hungry! Plus after you get banded no more pop!!!
  13. I get pretty jealous when i hear things like this! haha its almost over for me tho. only 4 more days left of it!
  14. Before going on the pre-op diet I was working out a lot and 2 days a week with a personal trainer. When i had my pre-op appt I asked if I should still be working out. They of course told me not to stop, but that she was afraid I was going to be hungry. That could be why you are hungry. Im never hungry anymore. I have to force myself to eat. As long as your staying on track working out is a great idea!
  15. You need to have self control during this time! Eat the right things and go for walks.
  16. Go to quick links at the top right of the page and click it and look for edit signature. Whatever you write there will show up every time you post.
  17. wow thats terrible! My insurance would have accepted anything from any doctor as long as it was documented. During my 3 month diet all I had to go was go there and weigh in. I didnt have to do any of the stuff that you were required to do. I think it all depends on the insurance!
  18. Congrats! Thats great news. All pre-op diets are different it depends on your surgeon. I am on all liquids for 2 weeks.
  19. Your insurance should go by your starting BMI.. but you would have have to check with them. I am getting banded monday and I have lost 31 pounds since I started my 3 month diet at the end of January. I am hoping to be down to 35 by the time surgery comes around.. I was told that the less you way the less chance of complications. I was just doing it for me tho, a jump start on the weight loss and now my pants fit better!
  20. Then it should count for the last 3 months as long as your doctor was keeping the records for it! That means only 3 more months! Make sure you dong skip a month though.
  21. Did you just weigh in? Or did they have you on a diet?
  22. Oh yuck! I hope you feel better. This pre-op diet is really screwing with my body so I know the feeling.
  23. The first day of my pre-op diet was horrible. I had the worst headache, i felt weak, tired. The whole first week I was tired but that has gone away. I mean of course when my brother comes home with mexican food at 11 at night I want to eat it, but not because im hungry just because I want it! Im trying to eat more today. its so hard drinking my shakes and my stomach is so full to the point where it hurts. It will get better I promise! Im ready for mushies though!
  24. I am on for the 17th. The 2 week all liquid diet hasnt been too bad for me. Mothers day BBQ was rough and then when my brother brings home mexican, my favorite hot dog and fries, ice cream and cookie dough at night is when it gets hard!!! Its almost over , its almost time!
  25. The first thing I did was meet with my surgeon, I didnt have to fill out any paper work, they took care of that all for me. The timeline is in my sig if your interested, but it all varies from what kind of insurance you have.
