  1. I was wondering the same thing about the signature...Thanks!!
  2. I'm at the very begginning of the process. I'm going to the seminar today!! I was wondering if I should try and loose a few pounds before the surgery? Will that make a difference? Is there a such thing as loosing to much and the insurance not approving you? I can start a diet and loose about 10 pounds, but then I fall off from there. That's where I need lapband to step in and HELP!! Did anyone else loose a few pounds beforehand to jumpstart the process?
  3. Thank you chachis!!! Good Luck to you too!

I'm so excited! I'm going to the weight loss seminar this evening at 5pm! I've already made up my mind that I want to do the surgery. I wish I could just skip all the preliminary steps and have the surgery tomorrow! :tongue_smilie:I'm so anxious to start this process. It's all I seem to think about. I even dream about it! I wonder how long it's going to take to schedule my initial consult with the surgeon???? If everything goes according to my plans, I'm hoping to have the surgery scheduled in September. That whole 3 month evaluation for insurance thing sucks!!! But, whatever it takes!!
  5. I got mine peirced recently. 4.29.10!! My husband took me for our anniversary. It hurt like HELL!!! However, it was sore for about a week and now it's fine. I love them. I got barbells. My person said to just clean them with water. Mine are fine and seem like they are completly healed. My husband and I love them. I just wish the girls pointed straight out instead of down, hehehe. That's what babies and too much weight will do for you!
  6. I think I know how you feel. I'm 26 and have been fighting with my weight for a long time. I started working at home a few moths ago and I now find it hard to go around people that I know. I'm at the very begginning if the process. I go to the seminar tomorrow, May 12. I feel like I don't want to be seen until after my surgery and I've lost a few pounds. I prefer to be around other fat people as not to be judged. All I can say though, is to find someone close to you to talk to and if you don't have anyone, that's what your fellow bandsters are for!! :scared2: We all support you.
  7. Ok, well, I can't wait to get sarted!! Thanks "time for mom"! Good Luck Chrissy Kat! I'll keep you posted. Keep me posted too on you!!
  8. Good Luck to you!! I wonder how long it will take to get the approval. Did you have to send in some type of packet from all your different visits? Also, do you start the whole pre-op diet after you get approved and a date scheduled?
  9. So I've been thinking all week about this LAP-BAND® thing. I've really psyched myself out! I'm going to the initial information session on Wednesday, May 12. I'm required to go to this information session before the surgeon will have a consult with me. Once I have my consult, I can start workng on the stuff I need to do to get my approval. It's a three month multi-disiplinary process I have to go through before the surgery. I'm so READY to get this process started! I'm 115 pounds over weight for a normal BMI. My husband doesn't want me to loose that much. I'm just ready to get started and see this through... I guess the journey starts here. My initial thoughts...I hope this show lasts!
