I was wondering how long from start of your inquiries until you actually were banded did it take? I turned in my paperwork a long time ago and still haven't heard anything. I haven't talked to a doctor or met with anyone yet. Is this the norm?? I already checked with my insurance and they will cover my surgery. Also, if you had to do it all over again, would you pick gastric bypass of he lap band?? Just curious,,,thanks so much for your input.

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I have just started the paperwork for the lap band procedure. How long does this whole process take from initial paperwork til surgery. I am very limited as to when I can take my vacation. Also, does anyone have any input into surgery at the Cleveland Clinic?? It seems like such a longgggggggggg process.
