Questions??

I was wondering how long from start of your inquiries until you actually were banded did it take? I turned in my paperwork a long time ago and still haven't heard anything. I haven't talked to a doctor or met with anyone yet. Is this the norm?? I already checked with my insurance and they will cover my surgery. Also, if you had to do it all over again, would you pick gastric bypass of he lap band?? Just curious,,,thanks so much for your input.

Hi,

what kind of papers did you turn in? In most cases you see the dr first and he turns the paperwork into the insurance. There are a lot of test you would have to get through before approval. Some insurance requires more than others. I don't think they will approve surgery if you haven't seen a dr yet. Most surgeons require that you attend their seminar first, then make an appt with them.

The first thing I did was meet with my surgeon, I didnt have to fill out any paper work, they took care of that all for me.

The timeline is in my sig if your interested, but it all varies from what kind of insurance you have.
