  1. I was the queen of diet coke! I drank one first thing in the morning like a coffee and then would drink at least another 6 or 7 through out the day. I never thought I could give it up, but I did. About a month before the band I started on caffine free then slowly each week less and less. I still havent had one since the band, I'm scared lol. I was told bubbles are super painful and that the carbination could cause band erosion...? I think me having the fear is a good thing lollol :) You will do what is right for you. good luck and keep us posted!

  2. That's awesome!!! For me the best part has been that I am 8.5 months pregnant and have not swelled or had high blood pressure at any of my check ups! With my daughter I was 50lbs heavier and it was awful. I was so swollen I could barely bend my fingers and toes and my bp was so high I had to have it checked once a day and was always worried about going into labor early. i LOVE my band!!!

  3. Girl, haters are everywhere! Don't let them bother you! I know its hard, because I went through the same thing, but you will learn how to laugh! You are doing soooooo amazing, just focuse on that. And next time someone hates on you, just say if I were you, I'd hate me too! :) LOL Keep up the good work and keep us posted.

  4. Hi! I am the same way except for me I am super restricted until about 6 oclock...then I can eat. Some days I don't even try to eat anything besides yogurt or milk before then. After 6 I am still restricted but not to the point of getting stuck. It's so weird! :) I have had one fill 5cc in a 10 cc band...After the baby comes I am gonna try for one more small fill. Hope all goes well for you, you are so close to onederland!!! Keep it up and keep us posted! :) PS Congrats on the new addition :)

  5. Girl, and they will! LOL I kept putting off buying new pants then one day I was walking up the stairs with my hands full and bammmm...pants on the ground pants on the ground...looking like a fool with my pants on the grounds! LOLLOLLOL

  6. I hate that, something's out of order but I can't put my finger on it, feeling. The good thing is that it WILL pass. Keep up all of your hard work, and it will pay off...Remember a lb a week is 54 lbs a year. SO even half a lb a wk is 27! :) I know, though, I got pregnant a month after my band. I can't wait to be able to have another fill and get back on track. I feel like I have wasted 8 months of weight lose time :) We will do it togehter! Keep in touch :) and keep positive :)

  7. Slow and steady win the race! :) 10 lbs in 3months is good! Thats almost a lb a week. And a lb a wk is 54 lbs in a yr. I think sometimes when you lose slowly it's easier to stay off. Don't feel bad, let your body adjust and do it's thing! Stay positive and keep us posted! :) GL you are doing great!

  8. I'm sorry to hear that u had to go through so much! Don't worry, the worst part is done and now you can get back on track! PS don't feel bad about what your mom said, she is prob just worried about you and does'nt understand...you know how moms can be :) it sucks though...my mom got mad at me when I had it done too...GL!!!

  9. I'm sorry to hear you don't feel well, but it will get better! I was so moody after for about 2wks. I would yell at my husband and cry from tv commercials! LOLLOL....But, all will be better, just make sure you are drinking lots of protein shakes! The protein will help make you feel "not so crazy" and help with being hungry. My doc had me on liquids for the first 2 weeks. About 5 days later, after the swelling went down, I was so hungry, but I found that soup broth and protein shakes helped and it ended up not being very bad! Good luck and keep us posted! :)

  10. OMG!!! I swear I was just about to post this!!! I had a clever name for my blog and everything...it was gonna be" instant restriction via stress"! LOL! It is so bad for me! It's to the point where I don't want to even eat if Im going through anything or my daughter is being naughty. I could be eating soup...she starts crying and next thing you know...Im hugging the toilet! I get soooooo tight from stuff that usually slides....I'm glad I'm not the only one....Ps Sorry you are going through some stuff! It will get better! Take care and keep in touch! :)

  11. That's awesome, I love busy days. They are the easiest days to do good, when I am sitting around I am more tempted to do bad. lol :) ps that's awesome you are helping that many children!

  12. I remember reading that warm liquids can help to make a tight band feel loser...I'm so sorry, that must be awful. Have you called the doctors office, my hospital has a 24 hour bariatric on call doc at all times...maybe yours does too? Hope you get help! Take care.

  13. I do!!!! LOL The smallest I can remember ever being was 170. On me that was small...and now I am hoping for like 150-160. That would be the best! I just turned 29, so I figure if I can look good in my 30's then who cares how I looked in my 20's. lol....can't wait to have this baby and get back on track!!! Good luck with your date and keep us updated!

  14. Drink drink drink!!! Every 2 cups of water is a lb. So the day you go back drink tons and tons of water and wear cargo pants with tons of pockets. In each pocket put a fishing weight. They are small and wont be noticed. Also you can put the fishing weights in your bra!!! Its worth a try...Im with you, I never had self control and needed this surgery to succeed. You will do great! Try and scam the system it will be a lot safer then force gaining that much weight. Keep us posted and GOOD LUCK!!!

  15. Oh yeah! I get it when I eat a larger meal at night. For me it goes away if I lay down flat on my back. For some reason I only get it at night, and usually before bed. (Which is why I know the laying down works). I always say it feels like I drank cold water and then ran, weird. I was getting a little scared, but I'm glad I'm not the only one.

  16. Girl you are doing awesome! Don't worry about the scale, it's a number only you know! What matters is how you look, and watch out! LOL you look great! Plus you are losing!!! I know though, I had goals for 6 months and a year too, but if I were you I would focus on the little goals first...the fun stuff like clothes...Keep up the hard work! ttys!
