Okay today is three weeks post op and my BMI is down from 41 to 36!! I had to go and buy new bras and my jeans are so loose now but why get new ones until my weight stabilizes...unless they fall off when i walk haha.
  2. I went home on full liquids which included yogurt and YES protein shakes!
  3. It may be reflux from the restriction. I use TUMs and that relieves it
  4. I was on two weeks of clear liquids pre op and tomorrow will be a week since surgery and I'm down 16 pounds- 12 pre and 4 post so we are doing great!
  5. Your doc was right. I had that same rash two days after my surgery and still almost a week later, have it! I was told it was from the surgical prep and would just take time to go away! Hang in there!
  6. During one of our support group meetings, we did a clothing swap because everyone is at different stages in the process and some are gastric bypass patients. Maybe suggest this at your next meeting and you could get some cool things too!!!
  7. I'm getting banded on Tuesday, two more days!!!
  8. Is your physician's office helping to get you approved? I've been on my journey since December 2009 and just got approved last week, a week before my scheduled procedure! I handled none of the pre certification, the process was handled by the physician's office who eventually had to have the physician speak with the "higher ups" of my insurance company and that's what got it pushed through. I will continue to pray for your success.
  9. Congrats on your success so far. As for the pain in the shoulders it is from the anethesia for they fill your stomach with "gas" and it sometimes takes awhile for that to dissipitate, its where the "pain" settles in some people post op. I am scheduled for Tuesday, July 27th but am nervously anxious!
  10. Its my favorite drink but havent had any for a month. The reasoning is that it produces more gas in what is now a small stomach and may lead to band errosion. Sorry but hope you find something else to satisfy your need, like for me, peach tea, decaf of course:thumbup:
