  1. I was told two days of liquids, two of semi muchies and two of regular muchies.... I made it to day four and then ate something, I think I did ok lol... hope I did not screw anything up. amy
  2. wow that is horrible... maybe they are so hateful bc they know they will gain it back and they know you won't! i can't imagin someone attacking u for your choice of weight loss methods. when ppl start attacking it is usually the insecurity of the attacker. i just want u to know that i am glad u have found a combination that works for you. as we both know lapband IS NOT the easy way out. We have to work just as hard to lose weight as someone who doesn't have it. the band just gives us more control of our portions, not what we choose to put in our mouths. if i were u I wouldn't go to that site anymore... u need support in your journey not cruelty. good luck on ur journey! amy
  3. Hi lulu, i would talk to him very openly and honestly ( in a way that won't make him feel horrible). tell him how much you love him... tell him your first and formost concerned for his health and very carefully express the fact that you are still attracted to him, but are afraid of what could happen to the relatinship should he continue to gain ei.. sex may be more difficult if he gets bigger ect... if you feel nervous talking to him, maybe a therapist would be helpful. i wish u lots of luck, amy
  4. hi all my name is amy. I am almost 7 weeks out from surgery. can i still join the couch to 5k? I'd really like to try... im trying to get my Husband to do it with me. any suggestions before I get started? I have never run or jogged, so this will be a new experience to me. any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated! amy
  5. I don't beleive in satan... i think ppl have good and bad in their nature, not being swayed by the devil. I sort of sum it up to the scare tactics the church uses on ppl, along with sin and damnation.
  6. high cholestrol was concidered one. I was told u have to have a bmi of at least 35 or was it 36 with at least 2 comorbidities. I also think my reflux was concidered a comorbibidy. good luck, amy
  7. hi all... ok first... Plain thats a tough question (about bisexuals being born that way)... I think for some ppl yes I think so, for some I think its just natural curiosity, for others I think its a choice ie... kids wanting to be cool. But I do beleive that ppl are born with curiosity. I see PG has found a friend! I think pansexuality is what many bisexuals are in actuality. I know of many "bisexuals"who have expressed that it isn't a particular sex that they are attracted to, its the person, if they happen to be the same sex then so be it. I think love is what its all about. Ppl go through life searching for love, I say grab it where u can! (and no it is not a sin) amy
  8. Hi ms, I think if the lapband is really your surgery of choice, I would get a second opinion with a different surgon. I have heard of ppl losing 200 lbs with the band, but it is hard work and there still might be excess skin to deal with. Im not sure your hight, or what your goal weight should be, so its hard to say. Many ppl have to try and lose weight for 6 months before surgery, maybe you could lose some, and the band could be more attainable. Id get a second opinion and go from there. wishing u lots of luck in your journey, amy
  9. I saw that movie prayers for bobby. It was a wonderful movie, and a true story. The suicide rate for young homosexuals are soooo high due to the whole "sin" factor. I think it is rediculous to think that those poor children are so beaten down by the beleifs of the church that they feel there is no other way out other than suicide. To me that is a clear indicator that homosexuality is not a choice. amy
  10. same here, at this point I can eat anything without a problem, I just limit my portions. I keep in mind that this is a lifestyle change not a diet. good luck all! amy
  11. BJean, well said! we are definitly on the same page!
  12. PG quit your preaching... Beth has her beleifs and doesn't have to preach them... it doesn't mean shes on the fence about anything, nor does it mean she is any less of a christian, she is respectful of others beleifs and doesn't have the need to shove it down anyones throat. You are really a peice of work.... I thought we ALL made it clear that you are loud and obnoxtious and not wanted.
  13. Hi all, ive been banded since march 20th of this year. I have had previous problems with heartburn (pre banding). i have yet to have a fill and i notice that it has been bad this last week or so. I usually need mt prevacis 1x a day, but lately I need it 2xs a day. any suggestions or thoughts on this subbject? I see my doc on wed, but woud like some feedback from all of u. thanks in advance, amy
  14. I know Beth, she likes to spread the hate around. so sad.
  15. I agree Nanook... thank you for calming me. I love learning about other cultures and religions. I don't really go to temple anymore... i found the sevices not very spiritual, but I very much feel connected with my culture and people. I am spiritual and find so much beauty in other cultures and religions. Yet I am alway a Jew. Fear is a terrible thing, it is what tears ppl apart, it is what wars are made of, it can breed terrible hate. I wish more ppl were like you. thanks again amy
  16. how old are you Joan, and is there something I can help you with? amy
  17. I love that nickname... i love the native american culture, it is beautiful and peaceful. I just am having a really hard time having my faith attacked bc I don't beleive in the same thing as crazy does. I agree that she picks and chooses what she wants to beleive and live by. thank goodness, the religious leaders of our country, those of all faithes, aren't intollerent and ridgid and hateful as PG. She forgets that there are many many cultures that don't go by the bible, never even heard of it, and still have a relationship with G*D be it a different name they call Him. The native americans just for one, are one of the most spirital peoples, they have another name for Him, but no doubt it is He. Ignorance and hate is so ugly as she continually proves on this thread. omg I don't know how anyone can compare the atrocities of raping a child to a loving relationship between 2 people reguardless if they are the same sex. Its so skuwed to me. amy
  18. thanks Nanook and Beth. Nanook isn't that a native american word for bear?
  19. whether this is a new concept for u concerns me not. I have a loving relationship with G*D and u are in no position to discredit it reguardless if it is a "new concept" to u.
  20. there u go a gain, you are not G*D and cannot say that I am wrong, you have no place or authority, and G*D never turns His back on anyone, not even rightious, biggoted ppl like u. You are pathetic and lost in your crazy holy rolling world you live in. You are easily the most closed minded hateful person I have ever come across. Thank your lucky stars that G*D is loving bc otherwise I don't know what would happen to u. I can't beleive the Hate that permiates your whole being, its disgusting.
  21. I am 5' and i have lost 19lbs since surg (march 20,2009) and 25 total, i don't know if thats fast or slow lol. amy
  22. u know what else? i get heartburn too when I wear regular jeans, and they aren't even tight... it just pushes in the tummy area... is anyone experiencing that?? You may still be swollen, as it hasn't been that long. I think thats normal Fox. hopefully I'll get some answers when I see my doc on wed!!! amy
  23. My relationship with G*D is very strong. I don't need to read the bible to have a relationship with HIM. Don't you dare for one second think you can sit there and say that G*DS word is not important to me, you don't know me or my experiences in life. I have a real relationship with the Lord and don't need a bible to tell me whats right and wrong or what the Lord wishes from me. You are out of line. Just bc I don't preach and condem others doesn't mean I don't value G*Ds word. G*D has always guided me to be the best person that I can be, and I don't need to condem anyone. He has taught me love. I am not worried about my day to meet with Him. I think you should be since you are trying to be Him, i don't think that'll go over too well.
  24. ugggghhhh PG you are EXHAUSTING. sin sin sin.... you don't need, nor does anyone want to hear that you think they are sinning. why oh why must you keep condeming people? ppl keep saying "PG stop, PG let ppl have their relationship with G*D,PG you are not in any way shape or form intitled to tell ppl they are sinning" why do u keep saying the same thing over again? ppl have their own beliefs, and your holy rolling does not change anything, it does not change anyones opinion, it does not make ppl rethink their beliefs, its quite frankly annoying and insulting. I think u may be a little obsessive. I also don't beleive G*D would ever turn his back on us, he loves us, and maybe thats why your so scared... your afraid G*D will turn His back on you. I beleive even if I never prayed again He would still never turn His back on me. I know many athiests, and I think G*D doesn't turn His back on them, I think He still loves them and will allow them into heaven... He is LOVE.
  25. I was banded on the same day as u and I've lost 19 since surg and 25 total! I think you are doing awsome, i wish I were 10 more lbs along! lol increase your calories, that helped me when I was at a stall! congrats on your awsome progress and keep up the good work! amy
