  1. Thanks Sue. I am kind of worried now. I suffer from Ulcerative Colitis and let me tell you this pain was worse than the UC pain. I am glad it is gone now. The only thing that would make the pain go away was me bending over. I do think it was a gallbladder attack. I must say that my diet is mostly meat. I need to add veggies and fruit. I do not want to have my gallbladder removed. Maybe making some adjustments do my diet will help? Also, my BM have not been frequent. For someone who has UC I don't have BMs often. Sometimes they amount to nothing. I know this is TMI. I will call my doctor in the morning and let him know whats up. I also think I visit with my nutritionist is in order.
  2. Fordgal88, thanks for replying. I got up in walked around a little in passed some gas and it felt a little better. It was a terrible pain. Who the heck knew gas could be that painful. Well....i am assuming it was the gas because the pain is gone now. Is gas present during gallbladder attacks?
  3. All day long I have been having a terrible pain in my tummy. I passed gas and felt a little better. I came home from work and hand a small sandwich. I have been in terrible pain. I can not walk or breath in deep. The pain is in the middle part of my tummy. If I pass gas the band does not go away. It is a pain that radiates. Could this just be gas pain? Could my band have slipped? I did notice that it started after having some mini snickers ( I know bad). I have not had any kind of chocolate since my surgery. Could this be the cause? GOOD LORD IT HURTS!
  4. Thanks all! My thinking is this would only be a short term thing, Until Friday, then I would just do a protein shake for breakfast. I am finding that my band is tighter in the morning. I only have 2cc in my band.
  5. My weight loss slowed a little and I also wanted to give my band a rest so I decided to shake things up. I replaced two of my meals during the day with Protein shakes. At dinner I would eat a high protein meal (fish or chicken). I started on Tuesday and am down 3lbs. My question is will it hurt if I continue to do this until AUG 24th?
  6. I have never had heart burn prior to surgery. I ate some meat loaf and yams and feel like crap. Ever since last night I have had a burning in my chest. My band also feels really tight. I was stupid and woke up this morning and had a small slice of meat loaf. I am thinking about taking it easy today on my band and having only clear liquids. Gosh as I type this I feel like I am going to throw up. Could my band have slipped??
  7. I feel so disgusted with myself. For the past two weeks I have been struggling with my food consumption. I find myself nibbling when I am not even hungry. I have also consumed fried foods on more than one occasion. In addition, I have been eating hot fudge sundaes from McDonalds. I am off work for the summer. Therefore, I contribute some of my behaviors to boredom. I know what I am doing is wrong but I can not seem to stop.I am actually rarely hungry. However, I just keep eating. I have gained 3lbs and was able to drop 1lb since Monday. I have only had one fill so far. It seems like I did better before my fill. I knew this was going to happen. Whenever I get this far in any diet program I sabatog myself. Does anyone have any ideas for getting back on track? Should I try liquids for a week to get things going again?

  9. lol!! I wish someone would hide mine. I am addicted to the scale like it is crack.
  10. Thanks! I have only had one fill so far (2cc). I will just take my time between sips. I guess I am making things more complicated than they really are. I am just trying to get all this damn water in each day! lol! Plus I really want to treat my band with care it has been such a blessing to me.
  11. This may be a stupid question. I just got my first fill on June 18th. Can you stretch out your pouch from drinking to much water or drinking water to fast? After working out I can guzzle water down. However, I get scared of stretching my pouch so I slow down. It is my understanding that water just goes straight through. Is this wrong? Someone please explain.:bored:
  12. congrats!!! I can not wait until my first fill. Keep up the good work!
  13. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:frown::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
  14. Thanks guys. I actually have not had any fill yet. Last appointment my doctor said I did not need a fill and we can talk about getting one at my next appointment( May 28). I actually lost 8lbs since last Tuesday. However, I do believe it is time for a fill. Thanks for responding guys.
  15. For about a two weeks I have been experiencing some mild heart burn. I do struggle to eat slow and I can eat a thigh and leg in one meal. Could I have caused my band to slip. Am I consuming to much food in one setting? I don't get stuck or vomit. I have been having great weightloss since increasing my food intake. In short, could my band have slipped and do I need to change anything?
