  1. I hope you feel better soon!
  2. Naked girl is back in the lead.
  3. I started my pre-op diet on Monday. I am allowed 6 Glucerna shakes a day, 2 yogurts, and all of the calorie free liquids I want (i.e. broth, sf jello). I have to say that now on day 3, I am not that hungry. I was starving yesterday when I had to cook something for my 11 year old. I finally had to tell myself to back away from the fish stick!:frown: I don't even like fish sticks, but I was ready to shove my son out of the way for one. My shakes smell/taste like medicine. I really hate the vanilla. I tried added flavoring to it, but you can still smell that awful mediciny smell. gross! I am going to keep going though. I don't want them to cut me open only to say "no surgery for you!" like Surgery Nazi (i know poor Seinfeld reference). Good luck to you all!
  4. You know, that is probably what caused my mom to have a hysterectomy in her late 20s early 30s. She had most of the same symptoms that I have now. I have to admit that, at times, I wish they would let me have a hysterctomy. I am so tired of the extra hair on my face and the acne. I don't have thyroid problems at this point. My PCP thought that might be part of my problem when I first started having my PCOS symptoms. She finally just said metabolic syndrome for my weight gain and insulin resistance. She put me on the metformin about 3 years ago. My GYN finally diagnosed the PCOS this year.
  5. ROFL:lol: Thank you so much. I needed to laugh this morning! I may be able to embrace my bad breath, but I am not sure anyone else will want to.
  6. Amen! ROFL:lol: You all are so funny!
  7. That is too funny! You need to have something prepared for when at least one of them asks to see a picture of the "baby."
  8. I actually called them after I scheduled and told them to call me if they had anyone cancel. She just laughed at me and told me she would IF it happened. Thankfully (and scarily) it did!
  9. Thank you so much for sharing your story.
  10. What had you mourning today? How are you feeling since your surgery?
  11. I just voted again. Your lead appears to be widening right now.
  12. Thank you. You said exactly what I needed to hear. This is a lifestyle change. Thanks so much.
  13. I am now officially September 25th. I was just moved up from October and I am freaking out! Congrats to all of you that have had your surgeries recently!
  14. My doctor has decided I have to leave October behind. I have been moved up to next week. I was mentally prepared for October. I am not ready for next week. OMG!
  15. My doctor's office called today. They are moving my surgery up to next week. (yay for me!) I know that this is a good thing, but they just snatched my last few days of free eating away from me. I am freaking out! I wasn't supposed to start my pre-op diet until Thursday. Don't get me wrong, I haven't been having a free-for-all, but I really liked being able to work my way to that. Now I have to start today! I don't know why I am freaking out, but I am. Help me out! Can somebody please give this sista a swift kick in the tail?!?!
  16. My Surgery was just moved from Oct. 2 to Sept. 25. OMG I am freaking out!
  17. I had my surgery about 4 years ago. I have a bump inside too. It really feels like another belly button growing. Or better yet, I have been taken over by body snatchers. That could explain the extra weight!
  18. I know! I am so scared of that happening! I figure once will be enough for me!
  19. Congrats to both of you. You are being reborn on my mom's birthday. I start my pre-op diet on that day so no cake for me. Thankfully, she is having oral surgery that day so no cake for her either. Anyway, good luck to both of you on your journey.
  20. Hi Choosie! I just wanted to say hi from Chattanooga! I saw from one of your other posts that you have family all around here. Good luck on your journey!
  21. Hi! I am in Chattanooga. I can wave at most of your family, and my mom's birthday is 9/18. I couldn't pass up on those coincidences.
  22. Hey, me too!:cursing: Way to go on your surgery date!
  23. LMAO:lol: I was wondering, what does restriction have to do with her phone?
  24. I don't think you have given yourself enough time to heal. It took me three weeks to feel completely back to normal after one of my laproscopic surgeries. Out of curiosity, what kind of surgeries did you have previously? I hope you feel better soon.
