  1. Looks good to me. But your pic looks like it is closer to 50% fat by FMP... Yep, I was pretty dang close. For where you are right now, that meal is not a good meal. You should ideally right now be shooting for protein that provides 1g protein per 10cals. The carbs are too high and too much fat respective to the protein. I'd want to get at least 20g of protein ideally, out of 200 calories. That doesn't leave much shenanigans for carbs or fat if I am trying to max my nutrition.
  2. ? To MOM! We heart her so! LOL. I think the Smooth Moves combined with the Clearlax and other carnage finally made the earth move! LOL. I'm back down to 134.0lbs. I was 137.2lbs at one point yesterday, then it settled to 136.
  3. My RD told me that for most of us a high B12 is a false reading due to our supplementation. And many patients don't stop their vitamins before testing. I was told by her to stop 1 day before so you skip the day before the test. Then test that day, and take your vits after the test. But I'd heard from vets on another board that you should stop them for 3 days before testing in order to see accurate (more) vitamin levels. I think it's not something most surgeons wig out about if you don't have other symptoms? @ms.sss I take 500mg per day hon. I use the celebrate sublingual kind. And my B12 is always high.
  4. Here's the one I use. It's readily available in my grocery (HEB), or online on Amazon or Vitacost. It's the whole psyllium husks. If I need powder (which I rarely use), then I grind them in the coffee grinder. I have a crap ton of bread analogues on Fluffy Chix that use a combination of: pork rinds crumbs oat fiber coconut flour psyllium husks whey protein They make a magical "bake mix" that you can do sooo much with--everything from "white bread" to biscuits, fluffy pancakes, tortillas, corn bread...so so much. So filling. I love pork skins for breading with parmesan cheese! So good. Also love them as croutons!
  5. Pooping makes the world go around! The world go around! The world go around! Many think this song should be about money, but nah...I think it's all about the (Mr. Hanky). Good Lord! So I've been through MOM 60ml x 3 days, Mag Citrate 400mg Pills Daily, Mag Citrate Liquid (1/3 bottle--oh the humanity! Never again!), Smooth Move Tea, and Miralax x 2 days, psyllium 12g x 3 days, chia seed pudding (standing by), and daily Colace 250mg pills...and finally. Finally! FINALLY! The earth moved. I would like to thank the academy. I feel such a sense of relief. I was seriously bloated, uncomfy, was 4 lbs up on the scale, and generally in a pissy mood yesterday. I was miserable. Now, this morning...I feel light as a feather and so relieved. No more pain, distended tummy, nuttin honey. Life is good again. Nowwwww....wax eloquently and profusely about how much better you feel when the trains are rolling down the track on schedule!!! Ok, go!

Love both pics!!! But adore the one of your daughter and you!! Too cute! (And the apple didn't fall too far from the tree, did it? )
  7. Yes! The egg foldover! Love those. But I actually made my original psylli wrap for this one. I'd made them last week and so have them hangin' around lurking and acting shady. Adding the psyllium husks (whole, Now brand) to the egg whites and letting them chillax then frying in a pan til they dry out makes them very tortilla-like. You can even nuke them in 15 second bursts on a paper towel until crisp. Turn them once or twice to dry them on both sides. And you have the equivalent of a psyllium cracker that works for everything from Mexican to Mediterranean. Here's the recipe for the original: https://fluffychixcook.com/basic-psylli-wraps-low-carb-gluten-free/ Here's the link to the recipe index. I have a bunch of versions of this that make it fluffier using different low carb keto ingredients like coconut flour, oat fiber, pork rind crumbs (sssshhh don't judge). 8. Could be gas. Could be poop. If it keeps up call the doc. Any bad problem is usually accompanied by inability to keep fluids down, severe nausea, no poops, intense pain (sudden onset)...
  9. Ran a 5K this morning then followed it with my Bari Breakfast Taco! Pic sucks, but taco doesn't! No afterages.

Everyone is looking OUTSTANDING!!!! Lovin' the looks!!!
  11. It's fine. If they aren't red or hot, then no worries. It comes off when it comes off. Showers are fine, but I was told no swimming pools, hot tubs, or water emersion until the glue came off and the sites had completely healed. I think that was 4 week? Maybe 6....can't remember any more.
  12. I decided pre-surgery that I did not have to be the poster child for bariatric surgery awareness. So it's Noneya. As in Noneyabeezewax. LOL. I just smile and say, "Yep, I'm working my ass off literally and figuratively. Who knew that diet and exercise really work?!

I FREAKIN LOVE this post!!! Wooot!!!! We don't need no stankin' candy protein bars!!!! Go rip into 2 hb eggs and for 140cals you get 12-14g eggs.
  14. OMG yes! YES! HELL YEAH!!! (am I yelling? cuz it feels like it...) I could have written this myself. I just smile and nod. Smile and nod. LOL. My sweet spot for losing was and is 650-850. Truthfully, it's on the 650 side of it. My BMR is only around 1250cals base. So a 500 cal deficit? LOL, is right there in the ballpark. I think if you can pack the nutrition into 600-800 cals, there is no NEED to add extra crap in just to mystically up your calories. Now, if you squander that 600-800 cal window on junk food and highly processed, calorie dense, nutrient bankrupt foods? Then all bets are off. But if you focus on lean dense protein, low glycemic veggies, a bit of healthy fat, and a bit of low glycemic fruit here or there? Man...you're square, dear!
  15. Ok, yes! Be hard on yourself. WTF? Seriously. Call your surgeon and get a referral to your RD and to the bariatric counselor. Start therapy now. This may sound harsh? But you are 4 WEEKS post op! This is the "easiest" and the "hardest" you will ever have it and the time you will feel LEAST like eating in your entire journey. Cuz barring complications like it sounds like you're asking for, your restriction will get increasingly less and less as the months go by and you continue to heal and evolve. You either take care of your food/behavior problems now? Or you could be doomed to either never see goal, or regain. Tough? Fu*k yes. I am being tough and shocking. I hope it shocks you into getting a grip and getting real with your bad choices. It begs to be asked...Why did you have this life-changing surgery if you weren't ready to get serious about living a new life? Ask yourself, WHAT IS YOUR WHY? WHY did you want the surgery? WHY did you want a new lease on life? How important are YOU? How important is your marriage? Your LIFE? (Seriously one of the saddest posts I've ever read and I've read a bunch including a post-op eating pizza at 4 days.)
  16. I used to be a low carb keto blogger (fluffychixcook.com) and so I was aware of all the new products on the market both for low carb keto and sugar free/grain free ingredients and food products. These came on the market a few years back and I liked that they used erythritol as a sweetener and were dark chocolate for extra polyphenol action and also had inulin in them as fiber for more pre-biotic support of your gut. I liked their taste as well, and if you do "net carbs", then one serving is only 2g of net carbs because you can subtract fiber and erythritol (sugar alcohol) carbs. Oh, and you can now buy them in many grocery stores with the other chocolate chips.
  17. Everybody's rockin it!!!! Wooot!!! No fasting for me today. Have done 2 days of 18:6, but today is just a regular ketobiotic day focusing on pre-biotics and pro-biotics. Boy do I need it!!
  18. Yes, many vitamin issues can as well. You should try 4:8 breathing, aka diaphragmatic breathing. It hacks your vagus nerve and causes you to engage your relaxation response.
  19. Huge congrats!! Thanks for all the inspiration!! What a great post!
  20. Congrats!!! What an inspiring journey!! TY for sharing with us.
  21. Me 2. I had a twisted gut. But I had intense intense crazy pain.
  22. So it's a pretty rare finding. But if either of those things are happening, then you would end up in surgery to correct them. But most likely, you are either having gas, or maybe your full of poop. (I know I am...continually! ) Glad you're having it done. I think if it were either of the others in a serious situation the pain would be intolerable and you would most likely be "off your feed." Possibly throwing up.
  23. Gosh. So weird! Wish I had information to help! ((hugs)) Maybe shoot your RD an email?
  24. Congratulations on your hard work!!! What a transformation! Yay you!
