119 again today. I think I need new scales as they kept reading 108. It was nice to see that number but given I ate a dozen Freddo Frogs this week, I knew it wasn't true

The only way I got through it was to look at it as the start to my new life. Think about it like that, and it is actually very exciting.
Also, I was pretty damn keen for my liver to not be too large for my surgeon to perform my surgery.
The first few days of the preop diet were the worst. After day 5 it actually became much easier.
Keep busy and dream of all the new things you will be able to do this time next year.

Thank you all for your thoughtful and supportive replies.... you are a wondeful bunch of people who i have come to rely on for support through this process.
I appreciate the time you have taken to reply and guide me with your wisdom, and for that i am so grateful
I have decided that i am going to annoy them even more by being a success.... i will be the best version of myself that i can be.
I will not allow anyone (including family) rain on my parade... I've got this....
Life is too short and precious to spend it worrying what other people think, i will be the best i can be, be kind, be empathetic and a good person....
People will always find something to complain or comment about.... i will from now... be graceful and try my best not to allow these people to affect my self esteem.

I read somewhere that the only taste of success some people get is the bite they take out of you. Seems like your success is tasting pretty bitter in some ones mouth. Don't let this jealous person steal your groove. You earned it.

At first I thought you were fishing for compliments, but by the time I finished reading your post I looked at your profile. When I saw this picture, I realized you didn't have the slack-jaw coupled with a sloping forehead and knuckle dragging posture indicative of the typical mouth-breathing social media addicts that can only find approval from strangers telling them how pretty they are.
From a man that has nothing to gain from a compliment given to a young lady, let me reassure you that you are attractive. Very attractive. I believe the in the vernacular of today it would be safe to classify you as hottie. I would have called you a babe 20 years ago!
I think y@@VSGAnn2014 nailed it when she said you may be experiencing dysmorphia. The face and body you see in the mirror is not what you expect and it "feels" wrong, perhaps even alien. And what we perceive to be wrong or different is usually interpret to be a negative. You just keep doing what you are doing, because whatever that is; it is working!

There is always something you will find to criticize your appearance with, fix one thing you will find another. I have found that to be true, more so now than ever.

I'm in! I am only at 13 months (post-op and since joining) but I think there needs to be somewhere for when the journey changes into something completely different. I have hit that point now, and I'm feeling like all of what I've been through over the past year is like a past life or something. Not at all sure how I'm going to move forward, and having some of you out there ahead of me would be really helpful.
Also, I think part of the reason that people stop visiting the site is what you've been saying- the threads are mostly people who are getting ready to become or are still newly sleeved. It gets old seeing the same questions about what to eat in the soft food stages now that I'm not going through that anymore. I know that sounds egocentric... Ha! Sometimes I surprise myself!

180.6 as of yesterday. After losing the next .6 pounds I will no longer be obese according to BMI!

185.8 this week, but I've been pumped full of Fluid following orthopedic surgery. Working hard to not feel emotionally discouraged by these fluctuations.

The arm band I use for my cell phone when I am walking/running and working out now fits comfortable and doesn't slide and move like it used to because it is actually secure because my arm is smaller.
I wear the same size panties I wore in HS and College but I am 40-50lbs heavier
Wearing short shorts and tank tops in the 100 degree heat and still feeling cold Okay not really sure that is a victory but being 1/2 naked in the summer is a lot of fun.

I was buying t-shirts at a concert. Kids $25, adults $30 or.... 2 kids shirts for $35.
Tried on the biggest kids size, too big. Tried the next one down, perfect fit.
Yes, I am a tight arse

I caught a bus in on my own, spent three days in hospital alone then caught a cab home. I didn't want my husband dragging the kids in. I was fine. The nurses were amazing. I was feeling very poorly for the first 48hrs so I was glad I didn't have to talk to anyone!
