  4. To answer your questions....nope...not taking PPI. Any suggestions? Also I'm only taking a Multivitamin once a day. That's about all of the supplements I'm taking. So it sounds like everyone is saying 1..stay off the scale 2. Drink more fluids 3. More Protein 4. Look into PPI 5. Stalls are totally normal I thank you ALL for your responses. You have no idea how each of you have helped me.

  6. Thank you so much everyone. I can honestly say I DO see difference in the way my clothes are fitting and my bras. And I am truly grateful for that. To be honest I have been struggling getting in more than 1 litter of fluid and 35g of protein a day. Its like I feel full all of the time. But when I'm NOT feeling full I feel like I'm starving! Its SO weird!

  10. Its literally been 2 weeks and I've lost NO weight. I actually gained 3 pounds. I don't know what's going on. I don't want to start feeling like I did this for nothing. I don't want to start getting depressed. I read your stories about stalls all the time and I thought I was prepared for it. But I'm not. I'm starting to feel like I'm just not meant to be smaller. Before you say it....YES I've increased my activity even though I didn't get clearance from the doc yet. I'm not overeating. I'm not eating bullsh*t. I'm actually hungry every few hours. I find myself eating very small meals every 3 hours. I thought hunger pains were supposed to go away! I'm only 21 days post op. In the beginning things were good. I lost 14 pounds in like a week. I don't understand. My period came 13 days after surgery. I gained 3 pounds and the scale hasn't moved since. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME? Sent from my SM-N930T using the BariatricPal App
  11. One step at s time sweetie. Pace yourself. Remember this isn't a race. You've waited this long so the little stumbling blocks will only make your final story THAT much greater sug. When there is a will there is always a way. Keep your head up luv Sent from my SM-N930T using the BariatricPal App

  22. I hear and see this a lot. Is this a stupid question? What do the docs mean by "Are the liquids tolerable"? Or "Make sure your food is tolerable before going to the next stage". Does this mean: Am I vomiting after I drink or eat? Is it painful when the food goes down? Does the liquid stay down? Does it feel like it's coming back up but stays down? Do you feel the food processing or dropping into your stomach pouch? So many variations to this term "tolerable". Can someone make it plain for me? Help someone. 23. Hey! So...it happened! Now I'm sitting here going through the changes. The pain where the stomach was removed really sucks but it's tolerable. When I sip I feel it going down. Sometimes it feels like it wants to come up...but if I just relax and breath it goes right down to my stomach. How long will that feeling last? Besides that and the pain in the area of ejection I'm actually OK. I went to the park today with my bff. Walked around a fee times and shot some hoops with my sons and husband. Think I'll be ready for work Tuesday. My calves are pretty sore too. Not painful though. When I was walking I felt it trying yo cramp...but they never did. I just walked it out. I really hope I'm getting the liquids I need to keep me hydrated. Suggestions? Sent from my SM-N930T using the BariatricPal App

  33. I've been contemplating this weight loss surgery for two plus years. I've been going to doc appointments on and off during these two years. Starting and stopping. Thinking I could do it on my own etc. I finally completed all of my requirements and paperwork was submitted two months ago. The insurance was having a hard time reading the paperwork (supposedly) but finally I GOT APPROVED!! My new birthdate (surgery date) is August 30, 2016. I call it my new birthday because this is definitely birthing and giving me new life. No one knows about this except my parents and my husband and my children. I know I am going to get HELL over it because I am a staple in the plus community. I have a business that caters to plus size women. I empower them to love their bodies as it is. I am also an author and plus body advocate. So I'm sure there will be people saying "hey I thought you loved your body. You sold out!" But its not like that. I do love my body. I love my curves. But my health is not where its supposed to be. I am borderline EVERYTHING! And I have no control when I'm eating sometimes. I often say things like I wish I had something that would force me to stop eating bullshit. Then I realize...THERE IS!! I will not allow anyone to make me feel bad about my decision because truly I've tried everything. I don't want to loose weight because I hate my body. I'm loosing the weight because I LOVE my body. I have children that I need to keep up with. I have goals I want to accomplish and being the size I am and being borderline diabetic, and having high blood pressure is not good....and I'm not even 30 yet! So this surgery is giving me a new life. I've been big all of my life. I don't know what it's like to be anything less than a size 22 since my freshman year of high school. And in the 2nd grade I wore a womens size 14! I am ready to experience life from a new perspective. A healthier one. One with less restrictions. And I'll still continue to fight for the equality of my plus size sisters and brothers and continue to encourage women to have confidence in their curves. I am even working on my third book all about this process and my journey. I am excited to embark on this new journey. LIFE IS WAITING! www.TrojahBrands.com
  34. I've been wondering the same exact thing. My surgery is the 30th. And my doctor said something similar. Only I work 8 hour days not 12 or 13. Can't wait to see the responses here.
