I've been wondering the same exact thing. My surgery is the 30th. And my doctor said something similar. Only I work 8 hour days not 12 or 13. Can't wait to see the responses here.

I am a nurse , mostly paperwork and medicating patients . No lifting. I'm taking 3 weeks off . And if I don't feel well I will take more. Just as well if I feel good sooner I will return sooner. S

I am having surgery on Aug 23 (tues) and planning to go back to work the following Monday (I can't take anymore time off work). Now, just for the record, i have a COMPLETELY sedentary job where i literally sit at a desk for 12.5 hours (no lifting, only 30 min for lunch and 2 15 min breaks). The doctor told me he really didn't think, due to the type of job I have, that there would be an issue. So i'm wondering...what is the soonest you all went back to work and how did it go? Were you up and puking a lot? Did you have to take a lot of breaks and walk around? Thanks!
