But after losing 43 lbs it all seems to have mostly come from my lower body, and my boobs. the arms seem to be the same to me, hubby says they seem a little smaller... But I just measured them and they are 15...

I have choosen to tell only my husband, 3 daughters and 1 close friend. I hosted thanksgiving 10 days after surgery and when husbands parents asked why I wasn't eating I told them the truth, I had a Large Hernia repaired and wasn't supposed to eat much yet.... Ok so I left out the Lap Band part, But I didn't lie if it ever comes out..... His family is just SOOOOOO judgemental and I don't feel the need to explain myself to them. Just my 2 cents....

I have had one fill for 3cc in a 10cc band. I have NO restriction right now. I go in next week for my 2nd fill... Hopefully. 2 weeks ago he wouldn't give me one, said I was losing just fine and he didn't want me to lose to fast, I told him, if I wanted to I could eat anything I wanted, I was just choosing not to, I also upped my exercise alot and have started biking again, and that I really needed to feel some type of restriction, anything would help with the hunger I have been feeling..... So tuesday we shall see.......

My wedding ring was also falling off, I went to Zales and was able to buy a ring sizer that hooks on the bottom of my ring, I don't want to get mine sized either untill I lose all my weight..... I don't know if they make them for mens rings tho, But you could ask any jewlery store....

My twin daughters are 22..... I have one tattoe around my ankle, a band of flowers that I got about 8 years ago when DH and I were dating... I want another but haven't decided where and what yet....

Longhorn, sorry to hear about this new medical issue... I know all to well the hell having a marathon period causes, I had one for almost 3 years, I finally had to have a partial hysterctomy in June of 06. The contant bleeding had actually gotten life threatining in my case. I opted for the partial instead of the ablation as they couldn't guarentee no more bleeding to me with the ablation, also I kept my ovaries so I could still have a baby with a surrogate (we had been trying for years to get preggers) But anyways I will keep you in my prayers that everything works out for you..... Oh yeah I lost 10 lbs after that surgery. :-D

{DH and I adopted from China almost 3 years ago and we are SO blessed with her, but i really would love to carry my DH's child :thumbup:. but... im ok. really} I understand your wanting to carry DH child, I have 3 DD's from my 1st marriage and the twins were 8 and Jessica was 11 when I starting dating my new husband, we have now been together 14 years and we have been unable to have a baby, we tried for years and then last year I had to have an emergency partial hysterctomy. so there went my shot at carring a baby, the only good news to this for me is I still have my ovaries and we are actually lookng into a surrogate, or adopting.... Hubby actually is really ok with not havng his OWN child, he has been here and helped raise my 3 as his own, now the twins are 22 and Jess is 25, so I have been feeling the empty nest so to speak.... Keeping fingers crossed all your bloodwork comes back good.....

Christine, Sorryu to hear about all that's going on. I to believe that everything happens for a reason, sometimes I don't know why some things happen, but I do try and believe it. Will keep you in my prayers that everything works out for you. and remember all that you have achieved with your weight loss, thats remarkable!!!

I topo had a very large Hiatel hernia repaired suring my lapband surgery. I had been dealing with the problem for years and was living on antacids and prescription meds for it. Since surgery 3 months ago I have had NOT one episode of reflux at all.... I feel wonderfull!!!

I hosted Thanksgiving for my husbands family 10 days after banding, None of them know about my banding. I put a little food on my plate, in my cup I had chicken broth, I pushed my food around and did alot of talking and watching, and like Jack was amazed at how much they were eating it was like a contest to see who could eat the most. Me I drank my broth, and ate a few bites of very soupy mashed potatoes and gravey..... So enjoy yourself, eat before you go and it shouldn't be a problem for you.

My hubby is 6 ft and 180. Hes the perfect size, he was 190 and lost 10 lbs since I have been banded. But I met him when I was 200 lbs I then continued to lose weight and got to 172. He thought I was TOOOO skinny, He liked me at 190-200, he loved my curves.... flash forward 9 years and at our wedding I was 217:frown: then 4 years later in oct 2007 I was 248:eek: I too wonder how he will feel about me when I get to my goal weight.. I think me and my Dr. have differnet goals for me. My hubby has always like curvier women, not skinny gals... So yep too wonder about this.

I'm a manager at an Old Navy store, and I have this one customer, she was in our store shopping one day, Looking very very lost, dressed in sweats at the time. So I went over and asked if I could help her find something in particular. She wanted to know where the plus section was? I told her we didn't have one at this store, But that I didn't think she needed a plus section and that I could help her find the right size. she too mee looked to be about a size 12-14 in bottoms and a large or xlarge top... she said no she wanted plus size clothes!!!! After a little bit of chit chat I found out she had gastric bypass and had lost 100 pounds so far and this was really her first time out shopping since losing the weight. I finally after much encouragement was able to pick out some clothes that I thought would fit her and she might actually like. We went to the dressing room, and she was estatic to come out in the size 14. So for the next hour I kept brining her clothes to try... she was in tears when she left as she has never been under a size 20 ever she said.... She became one of my best customers. She still to this day thinks of herself as alot bigger and always wants me to find her a bigger size.....

Congratulations Graham!! Welcome to the bandwagon!! I had those same thoughts while waiting for my surgery.

I was banded the 12th of NOV, and have only had one fill on the 8th of Jan. My Dr. is pretty strict in gicing fills to his schedule, I went today to get a fill as I feel no restriction and he wouldn't give me one. He said to come back in 2 weeks and he would give me a fill.... I was like Uhmm Hello I have NO restriction and I am hungry. He said "Well you have lost 12 pounds in 4 weeks" I work out alot and I bike everyday. BUT I am still hungry with no restriction.... Nope he wouldn't budge.... So I go back in 2 weeks for my 2nd fill.... I will continue to make healthy food choices and to excersise every day no matter what.... and I tell myself, Kelly the band is only a tool, not a cure all. you have to make the right choices to make your tool work......

We are also in the midle of appealing UHC, They gave us the approvel I needed with my health issues and sent us those approvel letters. So I went ahead and had the surgery, and wouldn't you know it, NOW they say they wont cover ANY of it... Uhmmm Yeah well be prepared for a fight UHC. So dont give up, appeal and we will all keep our fingers crossed for you....
