We can all sympathize with you yazmarrero85, you and only you can make the decision to have it removed. But it does get better, if you can give it a few more weeks. I too had doubts after I was banded, I still had to cook for my family, my hubby is a 6 foot tall skinny dude who still needed to eat, and he doesn't eat anything diet. so I still cooked for him, and that was the hardest thing to do in the begining because I wanted to eat all that same food with him, But I also knew that I had to lose this weight for health reasons. and now almost 50 lighter I really dont think about food like I used to. There are days when I forget to eat, or I have to Make myself eat something becasue I am just no hungry. I no longer obsess over food. and the money I save from eating out goes towards new shoes, or I am saving up for a cute coach bag. and that will outlast any fast food I may have gotten in the past.... I wish you all the best in whatever decision you make, if you let the band help you with your weight loss, you will be able to eat most of your same foods as before, BUT you wont want to.. Have you gone to a support group out by you? there might be someone you can talk to/share stories with, a lapband buddy as Gilli says.... Good Luck,,,,

Christine, your DH loves you for you. He is there in sickness and health. He wants what is going to make you happy. He will love you no matter what. Has he seen you at your worrst, probably yes, and soon when the time is right he will see you at your best, he will NOT see you as the patient, but as his beautiful loving awsome wife... Just think how much better things are going to be for you, like running your marathon, hell running in general will be 100 % different and better. My DH told me he married me fat, and he doesn't care if were to stay fat, BUT he knows that I want/ NEED to be thinner and HEALTHIER, and thats what matters to him, Healthier so that I will be around to drive him nuts for the next 50 years. And the intimate part of life is already getting better, I don't feeli like I am smothering him,,,hehehhe Great Big HUGS to you and when your swelling goes down you are going to be happy with your results, you are going to look so awsome.

I had a great NSV for me this afternoon. I was getting groceries out of my car and my next door neighbor asks me if my dad is home as he would like to talk to him,,, I turn and look at him and say, Uhhhmm you mean my husband? He stammers and then says Sorry, I thought it was your daughter, and WOW you have lost alot of weight haven't you? With a great big smile I said yes, thank you... I then got my dad for him,,err I mean husband,,hehehehehhe :-D

I bet it is hard for him to see you in pain and going thru this. He loves you!! Christine, You look absoutely AMAZING!!! :drool::thumbup::thumbup:What a Difference!! You are going to be able to accomplish anything now. Your scar does look red, but give it time and it will be only a faint scar... I had many, But Spicy Romano Chicken from Johnny Carinos, Also I would have a Salad and ALOT of Bread with thier Garlic Olive Oil to dip it in...and hubby and I would usally share a dessert... YIKES

I too have learned to just not buy it, becasue if it's here I will eat it.. why tempt myself I say.... Also my hubby has lost 13 pounds also, and he eats anything he wants, But with no junk food in the house he has also lost.. Wohooo he went down a pants size...

I am in the process of appealing UHC They approved me with my letter from my PCP and because I have been overweight for years and have Comorbittities. I was approved in Oct 07, and they sent me and my Dr's per-approvel letters, and I also called them 2 times just to make sure I was approved....I had my surgery on Nov 12, 07... And what do you think these punks are doing, yep you guessed it, they denied the claim.. said my policy doesn't cover weight loss surgery, when in fact it does, and they also preapproved... so yep I hate UHC right now.... But I am glad I had the surgery, and have lost 45 pounds so far... So don't give up!!
