Yes I would do it again. I have lost 45 pounds in 4 mnths!!!!! When I went for all my pre-op testng they found out I have diabetes, and a bad hiatel hernia. well the Dr fixed the hernia during lap band placement. and the Diabetes is being controlled with meds and he is about to take me off of those. So all the $$$$ spent on this band is SOOO worth it.

Christine, your going to look just as fabulous also !!!!! You have worked so hard to get to this point, we are all proud of you!! you already look great, and now this surgery will be icing on the cake!!!!! We can't wait to see the rest of your transformation.:tongue:

I was out of town for 5 days on a business trip, tried to make good food choices But didn't always, and I drank at the party one night.. But I still managed to lost 2 pounds. I had my band placed and large Hiatel Hernia repaired on 11-12-07 I have not once had any reflux, and it's great. Before surgey I would cry my acid reflux was sooo bad...... Next to my band it is the best thing to happen to me.....

Mine was $35,000 just for the hospital. After in network discounts the hospital only recieved $5,500 from the insurance company, I paid $1,500 to the hospital.... None of this was for the Dr's or lab or other stuff.. just hospital... Crazyyyyy

WOHOO Great Job Longhorn!!! I had a fill 2 weeks ago, and I have no restriction, I scheduled another for in 2 weeks, Dr.s wants me to wait for 8 weeks between fills. Hell No I said, I want some/any restriction!!!! But I have been working out each and every day. Tomorrow we go out to san diego for 5 days on a Biz trip. Hopefully I will be a good girl and not gain anythng.... Keep up the good work everyone!!!

In the begining I was feeling guilty too about ALL the money we were spending on JUST me for this thing... But then I remembered I was doing it for my family too, so I can be healthy and around along time with them. And also my husband has a brand new pool table we bought6 1 year ago when we bought our new house and it takes up a whole room, does he ever use it NOPE, and then theres the spa sitting in the back yard, does he ever use that, Nope.. so I don't feel guilty about 1 penny I have spend on this!!!!! WOHOOOOO use my band every day!!!!:clap2::clap2:

I am able to wear a belt again.... I went clothes shopping and my tops I bought are XL not 2x. And I shopped in the regular dept, not the plus size! WOHOOO

I would definetly have to say YES!! I have lost over 30lbs since Oct. and I can breath easier, my blood pressure has gone down, I can walk without pain in my knees and feet. I am happier. and today I bought new clothes in the JRs dept.:whoo: Not the plus size dept. So YES it is worth it....

Don't know why I was so nervous. it was done and over with in like 3 minutes. it didn't hurt, just had a small weird fluttering feeling. He said he put in 3cc. now I am on liquids for 3 days.

I don't miss my eating habits, it is the reason I got to be 250 lbs... I now enjoy food more I think, as I am savoring each small bite. and I too look around at what people are eating and I am like, WOW how can they eat sooooo much food .....

My bill shows they charged the insurance co $6390.00 for the band only. I am actually disputing with my insurance company right now. :mad:United Healthcare HRA plus. as they said I had the covereage, I have 3 letters stating that it will be covered. I will only have to pay 20 percent.... They covered thier portion of everything so far except the surgeon. They wont pay any of his fee's. He bills out of network and they are now trying to skip around and say my policy doesnt cover weight loss surgery. HELLO you paid the Hospital and the surgeon assistant and the aneisteciolgeost, and all other costs. But said no to main surgeon. Hmmm weird and ridiculeous I say. My policy states if my surgeon bills out of network I will have to pay 40 percent and insurance will pay 60% so I am disputing with them. I will say that when just the hospital bill came it was for $32,003.71 :faint:for 1 nights stay. and by the time they reduced it for in network provider discounts my insurance ended up only paying $5,000. I paid $1,100 for my portion to them I also paid my surgeon $3,500 up front. I go in for my first fill on Jan 8th.. I can't wait to see what that's going to cost me..

I am down 16 pounds since surgery, and a total of 30 since 10-8-07 1st Consultation. I have NO restriction, and my first fill is scheduled Jan 08!! WOHOOOOO I am down a pants size :-D
