Relationship issues
So sorry you're going through this. I actually think your partner is being a little selfish and self centered. Trust me I know how she feels. I feel like my life revolves around my RNY but in actuality... It really does! This is a life altering surgery... It's not a temp thing... This is a really serious life long commitment that we've gotten ourselves in. It's taking you a few decades to get use to living the way you did... She needs to allow you at least 12 months to get use to your new life. I do feel for her... But dang she can cut you just a lil slack! ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221**6 weeks post op. CW: 191.0 lbs. ---ONE-DERLAND ---

Can you help me with my water?
If you have 6 hours try drinking one 16.9 oz Water bottle each hour. Youre still pretty new to the game ..the more you drink the easier it will get to get it down. As you progress you'll be able to take bigger drinks and closer together. You're still in the sipping every 5 mins stage. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221**6 weeks post op. CW: 191.0 lbs. ---ONE-DERLAND ---

The "old" stomach
During my surgery prep the nurse had me sign a biopsy agreement and I was told that during surgery my Dr will do the biopsy on the colon and stomach and send it out. If I don't hear anything with in 2 weeks I'm all good. It's been 6 weeks and I guys its all good. Also I was told that belly fat feeds cancer and the more I loose weight the less I'm at risk for cancer. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221**6 weeks post op. 4 days out, worst pain EVER!
I didn't seem to be in as much pain as everyone. My period was coming on the day I was discharged so the few days before I had more menstrual cramps more than anything. Keep popping those pain killers and stick to program and everyday will be better then before. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221**34 days post op. This time i'm ready.... i think lol.
- new here.
What I was reading was the bypass is a lot safer and a lot if people are having to cross over from lap band to RNY. I'm sure you won't have AS MANY complications tho.. if none at all. I would think having a foreign object in your body would cause issues alone. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221**34 days post op. CW: 191.0 lbs. ---ONE-DERLAND ---- Protein bars
I only eat then if I'm on the go go go... I find that they have way too many carbs. I find eating low sodium beef Jerky is better than the Protein bars. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221**34 days post op. CW: 191.0 lbs. ---ONE-DERLAND ---- Where has my hair gone!
I haven't gotten to the 3 or 4 month post op but I did experience hair loss a month before my surgery because of the blood transfusion I received in the hospital when I had pneumonia in late December. It only lasted for about a month and I purchased some clip in weave extensions to make my hair fuller. A little advice for you all... If you can't achieve it WEAVE IT! LOL ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221**34 days post op. CW: 191.0 lbs. ---ONE-DERLAND ---- lemon
I'm taking acid meds right now that they give you after surgery... I wonder how the lemon would affect the stomach. Doesn't lemon have a lot of acid in it? ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221**34 days post op. CW: 191.0 lbs. ---ONE-DERLAND ---- angry and disturbed with myself

I'm post op 5 weeks and I stalled just the same. Make sure your taking your measurements too. I found that my clothe sizes were dropping quick but my weight wasn't. During week 4 my weight took off and scared the living crap out of me. I dropped 1 to 2 lbs every day and still am. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221**28 days post op. I rocked a size medium BeBe's summer dress yesterday. I haven't been in a medium since Jr High and I've NEVER in my life been able to fit in ANYTHING from BeBe's. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221**28 days post op. CW: 193.8 lbs
---ONE-DERLAND ---- Vitamins
- Vitamins
My Dr gave me a choice of 1 of 4 Vitamin combos... Then wrote out when to take them. wake up: Calcium Breakfast: D3, B12 Mid Day Snack; multi Vit, Iron lunch: Biotin afternoon Snack: Calcium Dinner: Multi Vit, Iron Before Bed: Calcium Your schedule and Vitamins maybe different. Also remember you can't take calcium and iron together because they can't be obsorbed at the same time. You have to space them out 2 hours or more apart. You also have to take your vits with food preferably with fat in it to help it obsorb. For some reason calcium can ve taking without good tho. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221**28 days post op. CW: 193.8 lbs
---ONE-DERLAND --- - new here.
