I'm 4 weeks post op and have been making lemonade (with Splenda instead of sugar) and have not had any issues with it.

I'm 6 weeks out and drink tea with lemon juice added, as well as water with lemons. :) I can't imagine it would be that bad for you since most doctors say add crystal light, etc.

I eat fish with lemon and add lemon slices to my Water. No issues.

You need to make sure you deseed it though. One lemon seed and you'd be sorry, I imagine. That's my fear. I use my slicer and inspect each one before it goes on or in anything.

I'm 27 days out.

My nurse recommended lemon in hot water for nausea in the mornings.

I notice many of you on this thread recently had surgery. I had surgery April 1st. I am struggling and just wanted to know what foods are you all eating at this stage. Maybe I could get some ideas. I hate all the protein powders I have tried. Please list as many as you can.. Thanks

Mine was April first. I eat salmon, tilapia, mashed potatoes, cream soups, refrained beans, puréed chicken salad, Greek yogurt, sugar free apple sauce, SF pudding, baby bell cheese that I chew very good, low fat ricotta.

My surgeon also recommended warm lemon juice and water in the morning for nausea

I find with chicken and fish I try to chew it so carefully and then I don't feel like swallowing.. I worried that I am not getting enough protein because I don't like most protein powders. They actually make me want to vomit..

I'm taking acid meds right now that they give you after surgery... I wonder how the lemon would affect the stomach. Doesn't lemon have a lot of acid in it?

I'm having a problem also with the Protein shakes. They make me want to throw up now after surgery. I don't now what else to do

Speak with a nutrionist because there are many options.. I haven't yet cuz my appt is may 8. Right now I don't drink any protein shakes.. I have some milk and try to get protein in other ways.. Nonetheless I am struggling
